i was just trying to help this guys to better sell their synth. presets sell synths. of course this is up to the dev team. im just advising.jamiesoarmusic wrote:I have one response for you, really. Stop limiting yourself to presets, learn how synths work and you'll be able to make sounds yourself and not have to worry about being limited by what's providedhcv242 wrote:nice synth feature wise. i really like some features, like being able to mod the phaser freq with the "normal" lfos. unfortunately, the presets sound terribly to my likes. 90% of it scream trance. how about some presets in the deep house \ dub techno vein ? don't limit your synth to the trance crowd.
You can't blame them, a lot of the presets being created are from trance producers, and maybe the devs are trance producers themselves? I can't confirm this but I'd be willing to bet at least one of them is...

You can also type %appdata% into Windows explorer or run (windows-key + r).pedx1ng wrote:The files are located at C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\[Live version]\Preferences
In order to see the AppData folder you may have to enable "View hidden folders" if it is not already.

Great sounding synth. Just purchased it.
I think I may have found a bug.
1. Load Spire at 88.2 or 96k.
2. Move to 2nd preset "BA Portabass"
3. Select the Delay tab and move Delay R all the way to the right.
4. Play a few notes and the synth will give off a very loud continuous burst of noise.
Can anyone else reproduce this? If you try, be very careful with your volume.
Thanks,
Club Ho

I'm not too happy to read about Spire be comprised of mostly noisy, monochromatic presets.
This is not to say that I don't like doing my own tweaking...but sound design from scratch,is not my specialty...so I would rather have some usable presets to tweak to my specifications, rather than having to spend the bulk of my time, trying to remove the unwanted noise from the bulk of the presets!
I love my Psychic Modulation synths,but I don't use them much,for the very reasons I've stated.[/b]

I second this question, since that's hardy the case with most presets provided with the synth ...sqigls wrote:did you try it? or just read about it?elwoodblues1969 wrote:I'm not too happy to read about Spire be comprised of mostly noisy, monochromatic presets.

For me most of the factory presets are outstanding.
We all have different ears and taste - no prob.
Spire (x86) dll on my studio PC. Every other instruments working fine.
(Win XP, Cubase, FL, even some little VST host)

Can some of you guys give some more tips like this? None of my host can see thebalx wrote:You can also type %appdata% into Windows explorer or run (windows-key + r).pedx1ng wrote:The files are located at C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\[Live version]\Preferences

I am very impressed by the general quality of spire.
The pad presets are very very impressive.
But I have a problem with the other presets. For my taste they are to much focused on modern dance sounds. Unfortunately I don't make dance music.
I think spire can do more than dance sounds.
I miss the classic bread and butter sounds or emulations of famous synth sounds or more cinematic sounds.
If Nico Herz from Bigtone would made a bank for spire I would buy that synth.

Hey there. I am/was one of those who is/was questioning the way Reveal Sound are presenting themselves as a business (all secret and stuff). BUT - I've demoed a couple of iterations of Spire now and I'm more and more impressed. It's really a great synth. And despite all my suspicion, I fear that I'll cave in very soon.
Good job, Reveal sound

Hello devs,
if I might again suggest something for a future update : the possibility to assign modulation on a knob in the matrix with a right-click on the knob (and a drop down menu), that would be very handy.
Thanks for reading.
Spire rocks !

Hmm, I'm unfortunately coming across some random behaviour with Spire which is not easily reproduced.
I was playing a pad sound which I had programmed and after a while of playing the sound, hitting any note would give a big pop (massive DC offset sort of thing) and nothing more. Closing the project and opening it again resolved the issue.
I know it's not the most helpful bug report but I can't find a way to consistently repro the problem.
