This is very cool (if overwhelming here and there). Glad you mentioned the rosin thing, because I've been thinking of getting a bow too. I've been doing some "bowing" on my saz with my trusty stainless steel telescoping backscratcher and thought maybe a real--but cheap--bow might be a way to go instead or in addition. I still might get one, but the stickiness will give me something to think about ("What do I have around that I wouldn't mind getting sticky?") before I do.

I've got 1/16, violin bow for about $15, it's shorter and more handy to operate on random devices. It's possible that different rosin would be less messy. I've seen someone recommending Pops' Rosin on some guitar board, which is supposedly more sticky and doesn't sprinkle rosin powder all over the fretboard.

Some of this sounds a lot like guitar feedback noise. Pretty intense stuff, me likes
