Got this email from audiomidi (who I assume at this point has just sold their mailing list) for an offer to sign up for www.loopport.com by buying a 3month subscription and getting the 12 month for the same price, so 27$ for a year.
I couldnt find many reviews of loopport and only found some posts with someone affiliated with the site from a year ago on here. So anyone tried loopport, their offerings worth it?

Exactly the question I wanted to ask, too...
Even if $27 seems to be as much as a cheap lunch in a Los Angeles restaurant, the question is: Do I really need it & how much content will they add in 1 year? (Currently I don't see THAT much premium content!)
Unfortunately, I haven't found any information about the license terms. I'd like to know if I can use the downloaded content even after 1 year, or if the license terminates and I have to pay for another year...

Same here, but I couldnt tell if you could actually see the premium content or preview it. Every drop down I clicked on seem to show me free stuff, so I wasnt sure if that was all they had or thats just what they show to non-members

Ugh. If this were a few months ago, I'd highly suggest Loopport. I loved it because it was ALL free, and because I don't make enough money to consider buying samples any other way, this was a fantastic resource.
Sadly, more and more of it is going premium only, so I'm just... sickened by the whole experience.
Good quality of loops, but I hate their new subscription scheme.
They show premium stuff, even when not logged in, btw.

Thats interesting. So you say their stuff is good. Your only gripe is you might have to pay someone for their hard work. lolAsuyuka wrote:Ugh. Los Angeles is an expensive place to be. Apparently Max Royale needs more money...Asuyuka wrote:I loved it because it was ALL free, and because I don't make enough money to consider buying samples any other way, this was a fantastic resource.

Also, I renew my question of the kind of license - if the downloaded PREMIUM content can be used even for commercial productions after the discounted year without paying for another year...ezelkow1 wrote:So since it seems you've had some experience with them, you got any rough idea as to how much premium content there is?

I looked in the internet for infos about them, and I found that you can keep the stuff after the subscription. It's just that they keep adding new stuff that you could access with a subscription.

Just for understanding:
You pay 27USD for one year as subscription, and get access to the page.
BUT... "Premium Content" costs extra? Or is that the fee for the premium content?

My understanding is that you have access to everything on their website, including the premium content and the new stuff for one year. I subscribed yesterday, but didn't have time to check all their stuff yet.Compyfox wrote:Just for understanding:

It's the fee for the premium content, for the free content you only need to register.Compyfox wrote:Just for understanding:

I still haven't subscribed as I need it not necessarily...

Did a quick browse through the audio demos, and as tempting as this might sound... it's not really worth it indeed.
