Really? Sometimes CPU performance is weird, because I now use a slight modification of the original filter structures (for better time-varying behavior), but in theory the operation count is pretty much the same. I guess it pipelines better or something.
No matter how good an EQ is, if it crackles when you tweak it, it can be sooo annoying, isn't it? You try to pinpoint the frequency, listen to the changes in sound, and you hear the crackling also. Not a really great "feature" of any EQ. ;)
Well, obviously cracking is very annoying yeah. Some filter structures are more obviously prone to that kind of stuff though. Fortunately the types that work tend to well are pretty accurate as well, so it's a win-win to use a good structure: you get the response you really wanted (instead of something approximately similar) and fairly simple interpolation can work really well. :)

That interpolation work actually came from this other project of mine, but I figured I could put it to Dust Equalizer as well, since they share the same basic EQ code..

Some day that will become my answer to "what about all the things that Dust EQ doesn't do." ;)

Bloody hell, that's a smooth working EQ. Simple GUI, love it. I am a fan of NyquistEQ and your EQ looks pretty similar. Loooovely! :D

Oh, and I like to use my Logitech Gamepad for tweaking synths. ;)

I see you have some nice plugins in store for us in the future. "Nice" being a huge understatement. :D

Looks like you will have an interesting synth for us, too. ;)

Well, very much work in progress GUI.. might not look anything like anything I'll eventually release.. but.. :)

Yeah, well I won't promise it'll all be free, but..

Of course, you should really consider getting some compensation for this great work of yours. You've given the audio community a lot so far, and your plugins sound and behave absolutely professionally! Actually, IMHO they behave more professional than some expensive plugins out there :D But I won't mention anybody in particular, of course.

I wonder what it will be, your paid for plugin... you are rather proficient at making all kinds of plugins, even synths. :) I love how your GUIs look [easy on the eye, enough contrast], and work [smoothly], and you know a lot about audio and audio algorithms. You shouldn't have any problems whatsoever making some really great commercial plugins. ;)

Another quick bug-fix build (tagged 1.6.3).. there was a silly mistake with the transport-reset fix, so it kinda traded one problem with another.

Should finally work properly now. :P

ps. Sorry for the mess, I only realized the problem too late and then wanted to fix it quick, and then fixed it "too quick" and introduced another.. there's such a fine line between "fast bug fixes" and "another differently broken version" ;)

pps. oh and the beta-link can be found on my site's front page now..

Just wanted to notify everyone watching the thread that you should all update to the new release version 1.7.0 which is more or less identical to the last beta (just some tiny interpolation fine-tuning) but should fix some general framework instability issues (basically there was one "old" bug and one that was introduced during the betas, and both could cause very random crashes, possibly very rarely, but still annoying.. those should be resolved).

I also updated Sweep, Dust Bucket, Tila2 and Abstract Chamber.. but I don't want to bump 5 threads (my "developer forum" application is pending though, since I figured I should probably move my stuff off the main effect forum).

I also got a x64 build of Dolphin working, but it needs a tiny bit more fine-tuning, so that will have to wait until another day... then TSClip will be next, since it shouldn't take that much work. (The old 32-bit only stuff isn't really affected by the crashy-issues though, since they use completely different editor code).

For the Beta?

Not necessary anymore. The regular download link has the new version now.

Thanks, you're the first one (if I remember correctly) that reports them working in PT.. so in case someone asks in the future, what wrapper are you using?

Post

i use, of course the fxpansion's adapter v2.11, as it's the only wrapper that exist :) i'm on win7 home premium sp1 32bit, PT 10.3.6

well, i just download the new updates.
from your previous releases, dolphin, 4L2 and TSClip have some bug with the wrapper. their GUI are just greyed. So i'm going to see if the new dolphin will working fine...

Well, the stuff that's still only 32-bits is still using my old GUI code which is totally different in a number of ways. Probably there is something in the old code that the wrapper doesn't like.

I obviously want to move it all, but some of the older plugins do some "weird stuff" that takes a bit more effort to clean up.. but eventually. :)

Note that for the same reason I did not do an update on 4L2 or TSClip: they need to be ported to the new codebase first. :?

i do like seeing these discussions of your excellent freeware in the main forums.. it's good for the community...

Well, yeah, but I figured if I'm going to release something that isn't free, then it would probably be fair to ask for a separate forum...
