I was exploring the warmer, more classical side of Spire.
I was curious what more can do besides the obvious EDM, and i can say:
very impressive!

let me be the first to say...

I demo "The Thing" and...
CPU fair,
Sound Superb,
Making your own presets very inviting and addictive,
Not a substitute to Sylenth1 but a great alternative, IMO
I can't actually say that I can have this one covered since it sound to me quite on its own. Again IMO.

Conclusion.

Got it.

Looking forward to some of our KVR masters designers for more presets due to my very limited designer skills

That's exactly the reason I got it. The warmer side of it, the low end, and the way you can interact with it, which to me, is very intuitive.
I will stay tuned for sure!

EDM = unwarm? Mmmh... listened to some trance music today, and heard some of the warmest pads and sequences ever. I don't think EDM sounds are particularly cold in general.

Post

Depends on what you consider warm.

For example compare Minilogue ( a techno project) which uses a full analog set up last album Blooma to more modern Trance, and then to stuff by Henry Saiz.

Ok, but i guess it pretty much depends on the sounds you create also. I think you can make kinda every synth sound cold or warm. I don't think it has to do with the nature of the synth, or the nature of the music style if something is cold or warm. You'll find cold and warm sounds in kind of every electronic music style. Maybe some styles usually have more of one of the elements in it, but there is so many genres under the EDM label, that you can't really say that.

Of course it's impressive if:

1.- Got free version from devs
2.- Plan to sell a sound bank

Not really impressed about this. Spire can be everything but warm unless it's bloated with effects.

You're a looser with invalid opinions. Go away.

ps. keep up your awesome work joseph, i'm happy buyer of your banks.
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

Nice try.
Your efforts are good for our immune system. Plagues are hard to find.
This is not even worth a Mute effort for my finger...

This synth is just pure pleasure!
I just deleted Lush demo, which I was considering.
The quality of the sound combined with such a inviting interface moved this synth among my top synths:
Zebra, Diva, Synthmaster and z3ta 2. Among others.

Wow!

And I agree with Theo about the included, still limited, presets: great and very useful.

Looking forward to the development of this new gem.

that's it isn't it!?! The interface just does so much for me. It make me want to use it. I can't say that about many soft synths.

Very true. Surge and Fabfilter Twin are my other favorite interface.

I was completed the mini bank for Spire. :)

It's more on the softer, classical/film style,
i hope there will be a nice addition to the
already nice collection of modern presets.
There is 17 presets in the bank.

Hollo Spirebank demo.mp3

In the audio only totally naked (14) presets, no external processing at all.

I love the overall sound, the big, clean low end, and the fine crispy highs.
Congrats for the designers and the original sound designers too!

( a working sustain pedal could come handy  )

Cheers,
Joseph
