Going for a Breathless/Chapterhouse/Modern English hybrid sorta sound...
definitely a rough mix (only spent a few hours on it on sunday after a cancelled, ahem, date )

Atmosphere, Reaktor, GPO, Stylus, kontakt, and a bunch of reverb

But, you are singing to be heard now, good stuff!

Tune is good, well constructed, needs more, ermm, fairy dust though; e.g. breaks/harmonies/chord variations etc

but its nowt if not ambitious, tops.

I do want to work alot more on the general arrangement, this was the rough build up, I want to go back and add that "sparkle" you refer to

I use 2 things to cure a LOT of vocal problems. 1) Pop Filter. 2) Sound Forge plugin to kill the sibiliance. Has worked wonders for me.

but I took time I had other plans for (which were cancelled) and tried out some things.... hence this little number

Believe it or not, I was using a pop shield! I just need to get in there with a plug (like spitfish) to kill that damned sibilance. I want to do another vocal take and try and watch it more as I record too....

which means I can get some other vocals recorded for another little project you may be interested in

ok - similar thread, takin a break from Sythilix to do a new vocal on this, with the new mic, pop shield, and some noise gating - and a somewhat louder mix (for radio )
