I love music with some chords, melodies, and tonal patterns. It takes forever to discover new songs that have chords and melodies, because most of them don't use chord progressions, because its very difficult to write notes with 5ths, 7ths, etc.

Please suggest electronica that travels through different moods by using songs, jams, ambient pads, any tonic arrangements as long as they change chords, same as a beatle's song, a bob marley song, but in trance, techno, ambient, beats, and other styles also?

I am thinking of writing a program that can audition thousands of songs and tell me which contain tonal patterns and crazy electronics because i am so embattled to find new chordal electronic pieces. Vocals are great also!

here are some examples:

A clockwork orange theme... a remix of a medieval tune
Themetunes from: Assault on Precinct 13, the thing, etc
Air songs, i.e. la femme d'argent

Well, if you really want to see some chord changes in electronic music, I suggest you get Ableton 9:

Convert to harmony, melody or drums.

Harmony would be your best bet. Then you can see the chord changes in electronic music.

In midi, with note names. Hard to beat. Maybe you meant something else?

maybe he wanted photos of us taking out and putting in 1/4" and XLR cables and inadvertently added an extra "h"?

Some mainstream stuff: Every song at some point on the album Clarity by Zedd. Some of the songs on there are extremely melodic. Strobe, Faxing Berlin and I Remember by Deadmau5 (also check out his Soundcloud, fuckmylife, he posts lots of interesting and beautiful WIPs). Choose Me II by Xilent. Graduation by Gemini.

The majority of electronic music has a tonal center, so, at least implicitly, there is almost always at least one chord, often two to four, as with a lot of pop music. Now, if what you mean is more song structure, or, an emphasis on melody over rhythm, then you are probably just looking in the wrong places. Moreover, just asking for melody isn't really enough, what kind of music do you like?

ha! i picked up that air liquide cd used in like '96. i didnt know who air liquide was...and i didnt listen to it before i bought it. i got home...poped it in and i LOVED it. while i had up to that time been listening to electronic music, it mainly stayed in the realms of ambient, new age, and industrial.

i credit that cd for showing me what electronic music was really capable of, and starting me on the path towards psytrance, and ultimately darkpsy.

i think you will be amazed at the consistency and volume of works here. note the two different versions of nonsynonymous recorded on digital and analog modulars.
