It's not a bug in Kontakt Player - it's a bug in the script. I believe Sennheiser should be notified of this, so they can update it.

Shit, I'd recode it manually but that would take a crapton of time. The way whoever scripted this for Sennheiser did it is abysmally bad.

Out of idle curiosity, is there any copyright statement on the script stating who owns it? I'd be interested to know if it's Sennheiser or someone else. (My instinct tells me it was probably some junior (and so, cheap) tech at NI who wrote it... Why they couldn't have included CC4 handling, I'll never know... As a reminder, I posted this earlier in the thread.)

So it's the part of the loading/saving script that handles kick and toms and some cymbal settings? In all cases I tried the snare drum and the hihat were nulling against a preset render. What is confusing all the settings seem the same as in the original preset but it sounds different and won't null.

Nope. No comments of any kind in the script.

I knew there was a mod wheel interaction missing. I already wondered how to pull off smooth fades from closed to open hihat play. Then again, a free set.

But it's not okay that certain sounds are way to loud on reload indeed (toms especially).

This actually happened with our real drummer quite a lot. Especially the cymbals didn't like his hard hits and sometimes pieces flew all around the rehearsal room.

I finally got a jam down that I'm just about happy enough about to post here... Yes, my timing sucks and I screw up several times... but I'm still trying to get into playing this style (I shall keep that excuse handy for future use ).

Has anybody the same problem?

Trying to install DrumMicA, I got an error from the NI-AwareWizard: "Please run this installer from the original DVD".

I got the serial number und the full download file. The recent version of Service Center is installed. Kontakt 5 Player is updated.

I saw this too... Can't remember if it was because I didn't extract it or because I tried to install off a network drive but extracting and installing on a local drive cleared it up.

I dunno, I tired installing this off a USB drive, got the error message; then tried it from my C drive, get the same error message; any other ideas? I feel like I'm missing the party

Are you extracting the zip that you downloaded, or are you just opening it, and trying to run the installer?

If an archive isnt set as a 'solid archive', when you run the installer, only that is thrown into your temp folder, in which case, everything else is missing.

So, extract it, then run it, good luck.

I'm extracting, I know how it's done. I then click on the resultant setup file and get that error message. Dunno.

It's weird, over the last 6 months or so, I'm seeing more and more problems with people not getting stuff out of zip files okay. I don't know what the cause is...

I haven't knowingly altered anything.

I am one of those people you've noticed over the last 6 months! I mean, I have 40+ Kontakt libraies bought online, I do know how to unzip, what not to do, etc ... but yeah, recently I've had some weird struggles.

Maybe in my case here the file was corrupt? I am downloading from Sennheiser again...

This better be a good drumkit!
