It's more on the softer, classical/film style,
i hope there will be a nice addition to the
already nice collection of modern presets.
There is 17 presets in the bank.

In the audio only totally naked (14) presets, no external processing at all.

I love the overall sound, the big, clean low end, and the fine crispy highs.
Congrats for the designers and the original sound designers too!

( a working sustain pedal could come handy  )

Cheers,
Joseph
THANK YOU JOSEPH!!!

These patches are lovely. Love the funky vowel lead, more More MORE!!!!!!

Is there a way to route OSCs to separate volume envelopes?

I was making a plucked sound, and I wanted OSC1 to be the pluck, and OSC2 to be the sustain.

Since ENV1 controls the volume for all OSCs, both were either a short sound, or a long sound.

I ended up assigning ENV1 to OSC2s volume with a negative value to cancel it out, and then I could use ENV2 to shape OSC2 without ENV1 getting in the way.

Wishlist:
In the mod matrix if you could multiply instead of add, that would make it easier to work with ENV1 being the global volume envelope.

Best regards,

Gino

Tricky one: you should set the osc level to 30 (minimum) then you can use the
2, 3, 4 Env to volume.

I would like also to make it more simple: like a number on Osc or Env that would work as a switch.

Cheers, :)

+1 I've been meaning to ask this! If this is not possible, then please consider adding it as it would greatly improve the synth :)

Hey, DEVs! Right now I'm playing with a demo version of Spire 9.1.7

Of course, there's a lot of headroom for growing, but it's already a great sounding synth.

Just bought it!

Thanks,
Anatoly

Yep, jumped on bandvagoon too. Nice little, handy, but powerful. Exactly how I like my synths! :)

Is there a possibility for retriger phase of the oscillators ?

Post

nrmnd

From teh manual :

Phase - phase control switch position. Phase "freerunning"
or "random" in the case when the
knob set to 0-29.
In other positions, phase starts from fixed position, which can be seen on the
display.

Spire is a great sounding synth.
Any news on if you can record the arpeggiator patterns and notes to midi?
Could you also think about moving the version number and serial number from the front to a menu?
Never understood why some developers do this. It looks much better if the synths front is clean.
A patch randomizer where you can select wich parts of the synth you want to randomize would be cool to see as it got a complex modulation matrix.

Kudos everywhere, man. This synth is in my opinion the first real competitor for Sylenth 1. As much as I like Synthmaster, or Diversion, they are still too complex. Spire is simple enough to entertain people who liked sounddesign in Sylenth, but it contains more features and removes things we didn't like about Sylenth. (too litle modulation targets, too basic OSC waveforms, not so good reverb...) If you told me this is Sylenth 2, I'd believe you right away. (May be with a little doubt on detune knob as Sylenth has probably Roland-ish exponencial curve on it. ...it would make a nice feature in Spire too. :) )

+1

It would be also a good feature to provide some different curve types for envelopes (default should be the actual so existing sounds will not change). Some synth having different "slope" types like Massive, Alchemy, Zebra and this is a _very_ useful option.

click on the envelope display. it goes from linear to logarithmic as you click.
is that what you mean? or like 8 stage or something?

Oh yes, I forget this feature
