Then my head is in my ass. Totally different songs. Btw the thicke one rocks, great, cool song.. There i'm not afraid to say it.
Totally different songs?!
The drum and percussion rhythm, even the sounds. The bass line. And even the subtle rhodes rhythm and sound.

And it doesn't make you right, just because you "dared to say" something. I guess some people just likes to argue.
I went through like a minute of it; there isn't a thing there that isn't taken from the original. Unbelievable. The whole intro, the drum fills, the whole thing; who does this? It really is mind-boggling. It's better in every way, for one thing that was that drummer's actual musical thought and authentic. The Thicke record is a pale imitation.

Where does Clint come in?
Sorry, I saw the title "Million Dollar Baby" and assumed it was used in the movie. Ignore me. ;)

Smells of a publicity stunt to me. And many people are taking the bait? This will be good for the song - keeps it on top of the papers - keeps the plays going up. Bravo for his PR person. **running away**

In the end the Thicke dude will be remembered... gain his presence - perhaps to household name status. The newspapers will enjoy this, win / win for both sides there.

I don't think it's a rip off either.

It does remind me however why I never post my music in here and never will. It seems anything successfull or commercial sounding gets so ragged on here that I just couldn't be bothered..

It's natural. If he would add naked men, he would have only success in the gay scene...
Because... women don't exist, right? :hihi:

hardly Theo. you're willing to write off pretty much everything in the music cafe but won't share your own music. like i said, weak. if you believe in your music you should be prepared to let people hear it. if not, well....

TheoM wrote:Ok. I probably said things wrong, as i didn't mean it as a negative re the cafe (remember it's all opinion like anyone else's).

What i should have said was that i feel at KVR what most people think is music, is not what i think is music. That's precisely it.
id be interested in who the bile in your previous post was aimed at?
i like experimental stuff, i also occassionally will get in to threads about a particular pop act and may have a somewhat negative opinion of the act in question. however i also enjoy a fair bit of pop/commercial stuff, just dont get me started on coldplay, or it will get ugly... :hihi:

I agree. This is product promotion at its most cynical. The "music" sucks too. I cant believe there are people here trying to defend this crap.
