I'm commenting here because they want to. Simple as that. If they had their own company forum this won't be happening. I would be banned if I would be dissing without any reason. Example: It's true the installer sucks, it donesnt remember install dir and that's a silly and amateur failure.
But these Russians getting paid on Belize are spamming Instruments forum instead requesting a official one. Result: A messy, polluted, unorganized piece of replies. Again, it's plain wrong to do it like that and yes... it sucks cock in hell to search or keep track of something.
Getting a company forum will also give them mod privileges to remove "troll" posts or people telling uncomfortable facts about them. Then: Mr. Reveals get outta Instruments forum, request your own and do it right (for once)...

loving the new update 1.0.1
you reduced the intermodular calls the half - it opens now as fast as sylenth1 does, everything works faster i feel, but the cpu usage is still to high compared to sylenth1 - i suggest some CPU modes like Massive has.
then im really in need for a OSC Pitch. i cant find a way to link all 4 OSCs to one ENV to make a NL Pitch Sound. the same for the Filters, sometimes i like to use both filters but with teh same ENV. (hope you can add these 2 features.)
found another problem - is there a way to deactivate an OSC without touching the Volume knob? a little light thingy to turn it off. (ok found the last one!)
im really loving the detune feature and also the OSC with all the crazy features.
it makes it so easy to make some fat modern dance sounds.
wondering, will give us the ability to make skins for the synth? or something like that?
looking forward to the new versions. still havnt got enough money to buy a copy.
anyway ill make a youtube demo with some sounds i made with the demo version and give out the presets on my facebook to help you to get the synth well known.
here are 7 presets done with the demo version: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/569 ... -%20PL.rar
enjoy.
Cheers,

Maybe you've got a bad experience (in hell...) and you can't walk yet.
Who knows. You've got some serious issues.... Sorry.

Yes would be great to get more fluid bank browser similar to Uhe's, massive etc. Saying that I tend to find patches, tweak and save as vstpresets in Cubase.zvenx wrote: Will see what it does in the next update when you guys get rid of the whole bank nonsense

1.01 Update appears to be much better, purchased this weekend along with Diversion.
I've got to say that Spire is a pleasure to program and tweak, good work...it can only get better. To reduce CPU (and I do this with a lot of plugins) I switch of the internal effects unless they feel specific to the said patch and use third party plugins on the inserts. But thats me.
As far as CPU usage goes there's a lot of plugins with just as much if not more usage and throttle in use; Diva, Diversion, Synthmaster all of which I own.
Had fun crunching the CPU tonight with Spire using 4 osc seq/arp program and stacking with The Drop n Cascade and Cascade SH on 4 pole, followed by Soundtoys Echo boy and B2 stuck on the end...no space for anything else in the ASIO without Freeze or bounce down...but hell it's great fun. Opened up Diversion and I had to drop the latency way down lol. There's some great sweet spots with this synth using a mixture of osc's and filter settings...love it.
Anyway credit where it's due, I held of on Spire as a new kid on the block, the cpu issues concerned me. The progress and the promotional deal was a winner. Still got funds for Satin and Zebra3 before halting the compulsive purchasing moving forward. Unless hardware.

Parts of it are, I agree, but the Stepper is a PIA IMO. It's too hit-and-miss. Almost impossible to set step values with any accuracy - particularly pitch - and a click in the wrong place just screws everything up. It's too fiddly and time-consuming to program at the moment.MFXxx wrote:I've got to say that Spire is a pleasure to program and tweak...
This, and the CPU drain is really putting me off buying it right now.
But it does sound good, and I'm keeping an eye on it. The way I see it, this can go only one of two ways; either the developers listen to feedback and make this "synth of the year", or it doesn't get optimised/fixed/improved enough (and quickly), and disappears into VST oblivion.
I sincerely hope it's not the latter.

The CPU usage should be high as opposed to Sylenth, because Spire is in an entirely different league than Sylenth. All the comparison to Sylenth is....I hate to sound rude...but it is comical. Would you compare Sylenth to Camel Alchemy? Would you compare a Ford Focus to an Cadillac? Sylenth is a very limited one-trick pony that should be have low CPU consumption... as it does very little in comparison to Spire. People- at least find an appropriate synth when doing comparisons.Trancestorm wrote:loving the new update 1.0.1

For example Lexicon PCM sounds just amazing but it takes so small amount of CPU, less then ValhallaRoom.

ok "person"...quantum7 wrote:People- at least find an appropriate synth when doing comparisons.
How about ImpOscar 2..?
Is that appropriate enough..?
ImpOscar sounds amazing - every bit as good (or better) than Spire, and uses much less CPU.
It's not a "one-trick-pony" either, far from it. But then I never thought Sylenth was either.
This is so true.quantum7 wrote:Why it should be high?

Even Spire's developer has chimed in here to announce future CPU optimisations.
Spire does sound good, but not so good that it can justify such a high CPU drain. It still needs work - a lot of work.
