I saw on Slate's facebook page that they have a sale coming up in September. But I'm not too sure on the exact date.

They might even throw in a free iLok as they often do.

:)
I will take the Lord's name in vain, whenever I want. Hail Satan! And his little goblins too.

Slate Digital Endless Summer Sale @ AudioDeluxe?
Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

Dunno'... Think it's going to be on their actual site.

Buy yeah, if you look around you'll always get a few bob of the Slate stuff. :)

I'd love to buy both Satin and VTM, but I can only afford one tape plugin. :(

I jump on the bandwagon too. The manual already told me enough. This is great plugin with huge possibilites. It will be useful in so many thing. Not only it does saturation, delay and flanger but I'm sure we found lots of ways to use it for all kinds of special effects and tricks.

This may be a stupid question but can it pull the tape stop effect? I'm pretty new with tape machines but I love to learn more. It gets me closer all the music I love so much recorded in 70s.

Will the demo be released the same day as the synth?

Of course.

Don't count on it :) your track record and the massive buzz on the net would make it extremely hard for some...
Personally, I must say that 89$ is a very generous price. VERY.

The demo IS a full version, "waiting" to be unlocked (if you unlock it, it becomes a full version).

I'm really excited about Satin and can't wait to demo it, but I would also like to try Slate VTM because the thing is: I play rock. Well, guitar rock. To be more specific: '60s/'70s type of guitar rock. Only soft synths / sample libraries I use: Abbey Road Keyboard (piano, hammond, mellotron), Redtron (mellotron strings and brass) + Superior Drummer and AmpliTube. So no modern synth sounds, at all.

So my question is this: Is Satin more suitable for electronic/dance/synth orientated music?

I already have Kramer Master Tape and ToneBoosters ReelBus, but I'd like to have something like VTM (or Satin) that you can use for every channel AND busses.

So what you guys think, should I purchase Satin or Slate VTM?
If it is on par with the rest of thing from u-he i think Tape plugin world can just be more interesting then as of today

If i understand whole Satin thing correctly and by brief info from developer, you can mimic almost any Tape machine with it, and results in some cases are identical (again if i understand it correctly)..
