They commented, in a few months they will have a direct cable available on their site to purchase. Not included automaticly when you buy a iConnectMIDI.

Cool, thanks for the link.

I noticed the 4+ is still marked unavailable on the site. Does anyone have news about that?

Peace,
Andy.

Anybody get one yet? I'm ordering tonight, just wondering if the audio pass through works well!

i wonder if iOS 7 will change the need for this device?
maybe that's why there has been the delay in its release..

i'm wondering though which one to get, i want to connect my ipad and iphone with midi and audio... and no doubt when i get a new ipad or phone in a few years i'll want to connect them, and still have my old devices..

The iConnectMIDI is extremely useful for connecting multi-device, multi-interface (USB, MIDI, 30 pin, lightning) setups with very little effort. I have their original iConnectMIDI and have two MIDI rackmounts, a MIDI keyboard, a USB keyboard and my lightning iPad 4 all hooked up at once, talking to one another with ease. To add a computer, I just hook it up through USB.

To me, the power in this device is being able to hook up multiple devices that use different interfaces into this single device. In all my prior efforts, I could not do it before I got the iConnectMIDI.

Adding the audio feature in the new product resolves the missing piece of the prior, original unit I have.

yeah it might encourage me to dig out my old midi gear... or go on ebay for some cheap midi modules :D

I tried to order the 4+ yesterday from Sweetwater, but was told it was "out of stock" with no idea as to when it was coming in, so I changed my order to the 2+....

I don't believe iOS 7 will have any impact on this device, unless it makes it even more useful. The key with this device is that this is a hardware interface from iOS to a computer or other device without converting the audio. Just pristine digital signal. That's why this will be superior to alesis or behringer docks because they use ad/da converters to get the signal through. Not very good converters. Other than the apogee iOS stuff, I think this tech leads the way, especially with the superior midi handling.

Has anybody here tried the iCM2+ with the latest (4th generation) iPad? Before I order one, I'd like to know that it is working properly with the adapters.

Thanks for the tip. My local audio store didn't get back to me yet ... guessing that means they have no news either!

They answer questions over at their Facebook page.
But I don't think they'll tell you when the 4+ is expected to ship....

It's just a shame they did not include audio outs with the new model (not simply audio through, which still means a separate audio USB interface).

Would have made it a complete solution.

Post

It doesn't have anaolg audio in either. It really isn't trying to be an audio interface, though that would be cool.
