Noncompetitive nostalgia
... Here are two tunes I recorded back in 1986, following pretty much the rules of today's OSC:
For these rusty buckets I solely used a Mono/Poly and a DeltaLab JR 1050 Effectron digital delay (to be honest that was almost all I had at that time). Recording was done on a friend's Yamaha four-track cassette recorder (no ping-pong, just overdubbing).
Unfortunately, today I only have the "master mix" left (on cassette and in mono), so sorry for the poor sound quality. To refurbish the recordings I used some decent EQing and reverb.
Cheers, Björn

*EDIT* Mountain music is intense... all the arp / delay sounds in the middle... totally digging. Also the second half of eden was excellent

Those are actually quite hard to find outside the Americas, exceptionally smart 1-bit converter design - dang which I had one! -> Hope you kept yours!Full Bucket wrote: and a DeltaLab JR 1050 Effectron digital delay

Just wanted to mention I was watching a demo on youtube of the real Mono/Poly, after spending a couple hours learning all the intricacies of Mono/Fury - and I'd say the sound and interface is captured extremely well. Was able to understand everything this guy was talking about:
And his noodling sounded just like mine
Nice job on the plugin.
Curious - I'm a C++ programmer too, in the game development world ( quadruplea.com has some of my weird indie projects ) - what sort of libraries if any do you use to help with the basics of synth & VST development? I've done low-level embedded synth stuff (chiptunes on AVR ATtiny microcontrollers) but nothing in the desktop world.
Doubt I'd seek synth development as a way to make money, seems like a tough market for a developer just starting, but been thinking it might be cool to do for fun, or maybe integrate some dynamic synth stuff into a game someday.

Hi, I answer here to pedalsteeldrummer since the other thread is about submissions: yes using the pitch wheel is ok, in fact you can hear it in "September"; I removed just an audio pitching effect, instead, that was in the first bars.
Great sound the Mono/Fury!

If I save my host, the settings of the mono/fury are not saved with the project, I must save it in a preset and load it every time. That is why I dont use it anymore.

What host do you use? Maybe jBridge fixes this?Michael1985 wrote:If I save my host, the settings of the mono/fury are not saved with the project, I must save it in a preset and load it every time. That is why I dont use it anymore.
