BFD 3 Preorder

Just got an email from JRR Shop, they have BFD 3 on preorder available. 149 (126 with "group" coupon) is a bit steep for an upgrade price (BFD1 to BFD2 was 99 i think?), but since it's 7 new kits, it's basically like whole new package (and the full price will be 349, which makes the upgrade price seem like a bargain). and they said all the expansions will be automatically converted to BFD 3.

I wonder if this "tom resonance" and "cymbal swell" modelling will apply to older expansions as well.

What do you guys think? Will you upgrade? (i certainly will )

I didn't get the email, but I have bought other things from them. I'm not even finding the product on JRR Shop's website; maybe they took it down for now.

No need for a twat poll. The upgrade price is $150 on a $350 product. Maybe I'll start a "is $150 upgrade on a $350 product fair?" poll instead.

i personally think that 150 upgrade price is more than fair. and i bought BFD2 for less than 100 on sale too.

we get the updated engine, and 7 new kits (if we are to believe the ad). i personally think of it as a huge expansion pack i am getting for half of its price.

I'd think the better way to look at it is that you have been able to use BFD2 when you made a $100 deposit for BFD3. Which means you get BFD3 for $250 total. That's $100 off the regular price. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Funny, Fxpansions has been really lazy giving any information of this major upgrade. As as long time user of BFD1-BFD2 haven't got any hint of the timetable. Not a single mention of the BFD3 in the Fxpansion site. The only information is a boring "coming soon" zeroinfo "ad" in the Youtube. Although they didn't know the exact timetable, they could some info to their clients and list the major new features of the BFD3. H.

Why do you need to know in advance if a new product is coming?
When its released, you either want it or you dont.

On the other hand you are right - why do you need to know anything in your life in advance: when any product will be launched, when a good film are shown in TV, when the last train leaves, when your mother-in-law will be visiting. planning... what do you need to plan that requires you to know when a new/updated product is released?

BFD3 isnt going to be available for 'one day only'...you're not going to miss it....

JRR said they accidentally put it up and they would repost it on their website when they're allowed to. Unfortunately they did not give an ETA on when that would be.
