Does anyone know if such a cable exists?
I went through some threads here today to look at options to connect your iPhone to your PC/Audio Interface and aside from the iRig option I found two others:
1) Using the headphones out with 3,5mm to 2 1/4" cable:

2) Using 30 pins to a 3,5mm cable:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00499 ... 00_details.
It seems to me the first option gives you a stereo signal but of lower quality because of the headphone connection and the second option gives you better quality (cause of 30-pins) but a mono signal.
So I already ordered option 2 but I was wondering about the possibility of a 30-pin to 2x 1/4" output cable as that would have both quality and stereo.
Does anyone know if such a cable exists cause I can't find it.

I think what you want would be an audio interface, not a cable.....

Yeah, I've seen it but thanks anyways!
Isn't it strange that such a cable doesnt exist? I mean, you have every kind of cable or connector for iOS devices available but the one that would provide the best stereo audio quality while maintaining simple and cost-efficient doesn't.
I would've thought some manufacturer had come up with this by now. It would beat all other expensive solutions and be a goldmine.

Except a "double-adaptor" socket that would allow two 30 pin connectors to be plugged in at the same time - say one for charging and the second for peripheral hardware.Spiritos wrote: Isn't it strange that such a cable doesnt exist? Perhaps it is not physically possible with how it is wire up?

I don't know about the IK kit. I'm still on iPhone4 and as I look at the schemes on the IK ( http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/iline/ ) it looks as if there's an extra connection on the lower left bottom of the iPhone5 (?).
I'm no technicican but the second option from my first post does exactly that, outputting from the 30-pins to USB and 3.5mm except only mono.
I know iPhone's mic is only mono but for some synths I think you could split the signal in two...
