BTW - are you communist, or facist, or just an other kind of "kriminal"? Namely, those ideologies include the idea that someone else decides for you what is relevant or important to you, what affects you etc. I'm personally in favor of the principle that every individual has right to define himself his personal preferencies, and the decision making requires that the individual has as much information as possible. marketing, yep, get that, but that a business choice... doesnt affect you
planning... what do you need to plan that requires you to know when a new/updated product is released?

None of the above, and as far as i am aware, being a communist doesnt make you a criminal....Harry_HH wrote:BTW - are you communist, or facist, or just an other kind of "kriminal"?Kriminal wrote:nice try, but none of those are relevant or related to a simple software purchase.Harry_HH wrote: On the other hand you are right - why do you need to know anything in your life in advance: when any product will be launched, when a good film are shown in TV, when the last train leaves, when your mother-in-law will be visiting. BTW, its FASCIST, not FACIST
so by your way of thinking, that could make FXP communists/fascists then, as they dont want you to know about the new product yet, buy you want to know?Harry_HH wrote:Namely, those ideologies include the idea that someone else decides for you what is relevant or important to you, what affects you etc. I
im sure FXP feel the same, its their company, not yoursHarry_HH wrote: I'm personally in favor of the principle that every individual has right to define himself his personal preferencies...
...and that info will be available when the product is released. You cant buy it before its released, so you dont need that info nowHarry_HH wrote:...the decision making requires that the individual has as much information as possible. H.

Now, you totally mix things. I wasn't talking about the FXP but about you and your so called "thoughts". that's sweet. completely irrelevant to whether a company preannounces products or not, though.Harry_HH wrote:BTW - are you communist, or facist, or just an other kind of "kriminal"? Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

I've probably over-interpreted. I can point to statements "The plan is to focus our development team on some other products for a while," but what I remember re: no BFD3 in the works is not something I can verify.TheoM wrote:Is this true? Wow that's a surprise, any links?jancivil wrote:It wasn't that long ago they said they were dropping BFD as not worth their time, that what they'd done on 3 was included in the 'final' update to BFD2. Since then they fixed some bugs in that 'final' in a public beta.
The 'final' update 2.3.0.38 was released 13 March 2012 and 2.3.1.6 has been in public beta since 27 Sept 2012.

For a new product there doesn't seem to be much info.
7 new kits? That's cool. Don't want the old ones. Kinda vague about what is new. I mean "more efficient engine" could mean anything. Will keep my eyes on though.

Yes, the info so far is pretty limited. 7 new kits does sound interesting, although I'd prefer being able to select the kit pieces I need through a more "modular" approach - e.g. buy-what-you-need-on-a-piece-by-piece-basis solution. Anyway, my biggest issue with BFD2 is the sequencer. It just doesn't feel as good as the one in Geist. A combo of the two would be most ideal for me and highest on my list of requests for BFD3.hibidy wrote:For a new product there doesn't seem to be much info.

exactly. Improved sequencer needs to be more specific for me to really understand what they improvedmetal wrote:Yes, the info so far is pretty limited. 7 new kits does sound interesting, although I'd prefer being able to select the kit pieces I need through a more "modular" approach - e.g. buy-what-you-need-on-a-piece-by-piece-basis solution.
