Here we go... I finished the idea I posted in the VTM/Satin thread. Maybe you are interested about the result (and hopefully like it ;) ).

Project has about 18 tracks, hard-/software synth (Virus/Nord) and the typical stuff (Diva, Absynth, Spire, Predator,...).

The Nord sounds really nice! Alicia and Spire too. Nice track overall.

Nicely relaxed stuff, and the production sounds very clean and clear, good job. :) Really like the style. Some small criticism: The kickdrum sounds a bit dull. Maybe you could get a bit more variety, when using more than one kickdrum sound, or layering or whatever.

Thanks

Audio quality with Soundcloud is unfortunately not very good. There are also a lot artifacts and stuff. I uploaded the track also to official.fm where the quality is better (Afaik they stream at 160kbs) http://official.fm/tracks/tLG4

If you are interested in travel without moving, take a New York taxi during rush hour. :)

Nice job Frank. Smooth and melodic with a good mix. :tu:

I love the lead keys & the background pad! The bass could be a bit more prominent...

BTW, only 18 tracks... :o I've always needed more than 30 tracks...

But currently I'm practicing to use as few tracks as possible!

Thanks!

I saw it often with trance guys that they coming close to 100 tracks without problems ;) But sometimes I have the bad feeling that 50 of this tracks are only copy & paste from other trance guys :hihi:

I captured a quick project walk so you see a bit more details and how things are made. Please use full-screen and the highest quality setting for Youtube (1080p HD)

Nice track. Not what I listen too, but I can appreciate what you have created.
Good of you to post a video, but not sure why you felt the midi tracks were worth seeing as apposed to maybe your routing and tools of production, which I feel is the strength of the piece and not the performance, since it is basically simple.

I noticed how linear is your frequency spectrum vs loudness envelope.
The hats are very smooth and not brittle or harsh, for example. Your use of EQ and compression is where this production shines. I feel the melody is primary and the rhythm section is best kept back as to be only supportive. This you have done and I feel is best, and nothing needs change.

Also, curious what was used in your dynamic processor output chain. In other words, how did you arrange your processors to get the sound you ended up with?

Thanks Frank. 8)
