According to Sibelius this can be done but me canne work out how.

I thought Sib would create a virtual midiport so it could be controlled, but I cannot see one in Kompakt

Can anyone show me the light......?

I have Sibelius 2 and I didn't upgrade to Sib 3 because I was annoyed there was no VSTi support. According to Ben Finn, he told there was little demand for such a feature and there was no plans to implement it. The Kontakt Player Gold is the only way to get integration but you're stuffed if you want to use synth sounds. The only way is to use Midi Yoke which gives you virtual midi ports. Type it in google and find it (Midi Yoke or MidiYoke. It's only 100K I think.

Can't stretch to Sibelius myself, but I've used this successfully with Scorewriter and EWQLSO Silver

Thanks chaps,

As I expected midi yoke was unstable, after 1/2 hour to an hours use it caused Sib to lockup

Gonna give maple a try, hopefully twill be more stable.

I called Sib again and they say Garritan (with NI sampler) has somthing in it to make it work. Has anyone got experence with this, used it or know if it can be use on any NI sampler ( in standalone mode? )

If only Sib made its own virtual midi out (that could be seen in NI Samplers)
