Alt+Bypass (the left handle of the insert box) is for disabling the plugin.
IMO this is new or was this the same behavior with 6.0.5?

Alt + Power button was already present in Cubase 7.04.
But I really, really, really want to know if the handling is like 7.05 with the power button and plugin selection to the left and right of the insert button. Or was it being moved "inside" the insert button again?
Because I hated that handling, couldn't simply click in the middle of an insert slot and select a plugin. If that is still present, funk 7.06!

I'm enjoying the fact that I have to tweak and resize the mixer in all saved projects.

The .0.5 was clearly a WTF moment

Weird. It's still left and right over here, middle click brings up the plugin.zvenx wrote:its back to where it was, you will like it. back to inside.Compyfox wrote:Alt + Power button was already present in Cubase 7.04.

Edit: or did you mean empty inserts ? There you can select on middle click, don't remember if that was different in .05.
Still minor WTFs:
- still won't remember arranger zoom setting / transport & mixer visibility
- Mixer configurations still greyed out initially.

I think I know what you are talking about. At one point it was really difficult to load up a plug-in from the inserts. I had to click a hundred times in all kinds of places, meanwhile bypass and calling up the menu, it was stupid.Compyfox wrote:Alt + Power button was already present in Cubase 7.04.

No it's very straightforward now I can't see anyone complaining.
The only time it's still tricky is when your really zoomed out in the console and everything is super thin, but even then it's still quite doable.

So you load up an insert in the mixer then hit F3? I've never seen it crash because of that. So no. But then maybe for some reason it's not a bug that affects me at all.TheoM wrote:Anyone know if the crashes after inserting an effect in the mixer and using the f3 hotkey to close it is fixed?

No, I indeed mean the "to the left and right of the insert" slot abomination handling that was 7.05, rather than all within the insert bar of 7.04.
But I think that was kept.

I'm stuck in this weird limbo where I can't decide whether to settle on 6.5 or 7.
Overall the new mixer doesn't sit well with me but there is no doubt it offers certain advantages.
