Sparkverb is a really good sounding, very tweakable and smooth reverb. It's great to have it in MF3. I'm afraid I can't agree with the standalone price of that reverb, though.

It has a unique approach in drawing the frequency responses/decay for each band in the GUI and changing the crossovers, that's very intuitive. With long tails it doesn't sound as "thick/dense" as e.g. B2 can sound and the modulation algo sounds a bit predictable, but overall it's something different and it's sound is certainly classy, not cheap, not metallic, not boring. If one needs the animated preset browser or not is a matter of taste, for control freaks like me there are always the knobs to tweak.

the main point is pretty handy GUI. I do not like GUI of f.e. Lex PCM with all those algos and plugins.
The sound is not bad but I think my V3 is better to my ears

$199?
I don't know their stats and sales, but do you think they would actually sell more, if they lowered their prices? I understand UVI is a small company (?) and developing these costs money.
My problem with them is time and time again, that the product looks and sounds really nice, but it's priced at a completely unrealistic price point. I for one am aching to buy pretty much all their instruments, but that would cost as much as a small car.

I think the same too. Their stuff are great, but priced too high for me.MrDuke wrote:$199?

I have to agree its a shame they price their stuff so high...but I suppose if you can catch a dealer price and sale price - it makes it workable...

+1 for: I hope they add the interface enhancements to the MachFive version.

Seems pretty nice to work with, and sounds great too, but at $200... No thank you. Would probably buy it around $50-$75. I'll buy a whole new synth instead for that price

I don't know if it's just a very good video or what but it sounded very good to me. $200 for a good reverb is not over priced. EA Phoenix, Lexicon LXP, Arts Acoustic, Relab Lite & NI Classic reverbs are all around $200 for example.

Indeed - if you have Kontakt, you can get all of Mach Five 3 for $250 in the crossgrade deal.Neon Breath wrote:Seems pretty nice to work with, and sounds great too, but at $200... No thank you. Would probably buy it around $50-$75. I'll buy a whole new synth instead for that price

And have demo versions for users to try. What's UVI's problem?Aiynzahev wrote:I don't know if it's just a very good video or what but it sounded very good to me. $200 for a good reverb is not over priced. Yeah, the lack of demo is very disheartening.. personally I really liked the sound of Sparkverb. It sits very nicely with the other stuff I have (Valhalla Room, Lexicon, Phoenix, Ariesverb and AA Verb, yeah I have too many verbs!
).
Looking forward to try it out at some point.
I still think the next reverb I will buy is the Variverb 2 from Magix. That one is still on the top of my list and I really regret not buying it. Too bad I had some trouble with the demo (it dumps a MASSIVE amount of .dll files into the VSTplugins directory which is annoying as hell).
Cheers!

The video mentions that it's multi-channel capable, thru 5.1. Has anybody tried this? Particularly in Pro Tools? I'm curious if you can actually insert it on a 5.1 track without having to resort to a multi-mono instance? And if you can, how does it sound in surround?
