All cat jokes aside... Go Bitwig!!!!
At the end of the day we certainly all do wish them success. We certainly don't wish for anyone's personal dreams to die or be derailed. I do hope they'll release it before the end of the year, make a small fortune, put the company on solid ground, and put all of this other stuff in their rear view mirror.
It's fun to joke about the long marketing period (granted, some of the cats bring tears to my eyes laughing) but when it comes down to it, nobody actually wants them to fail... I hope.

I'm actually surprised by a few of their design decisions. Certain elements look like they were carbon copied straight from Ableton Live, such as the drum rack. I understand that some of the developers are ex-Ableton, but there's something a little strange and shameless about that.

Not really, there's a team of ex-Capcom game devs trying to make a carbon copy clone of Mega Man.Tronam wrote:I'm actually surprised by a few of their design decisions. Let's be honest - lots of DAW's have features that look like carbon copies. Cubase, Logic and Pro Tools all look visually similar to me. Reaper too, to an extent. They all have the classic sequencer layout.
Ableton needs a direct competitor that does everything right. For me, the PDC, plugin crash protection and the modulation system are worth the wait. I hate losing work due to a faulty plugin, it also takes time to work out which one has crashed.
The wait is killing me, but it looks like it might be awesome when it's released. I just hope it lives up to the hype.
