I'm not rich, but Waldorf's synths are quite affordable (save for Zarenbourg). Even Q Phoenix is affordable when you consider all it can do.
Hardware synth??

Largo is a VSTi! And 199 EURO for a software synthesizer is pretty much! If it would be 200 EURO for a hardware synthesizer, I would understand it...
1.) Blofeld = hardware

price around 389 € here in germany (+ 99 € for the sample/SL upgrade)

Keyboard version (includes sample upgrade) around 699 € here.

2.) Largo = software

Price around 189 € for the boxed version (here in germany)

Still don't get why you mentioned Largo in this thread...

Because they rather should lower the price for it than making fun in the manuals...

Regarding the SOFTWARE developers, Waldorf is one of the most expensive companies. This made me angry. I haven't the money to buy loads of hardware synthesizers...

That's Waldorf. Always having some fun in manuals. :)
Blofeld manual says the exact same thing, at least they could come up with a new joke for a new synth....

They had another sale recently but those are usually limited to 3 days only...

Besides that purchasing the Waldorf Edition (= 64-bit already) and the PPG Wave 3.V upgrade at the Online shop is cheaper than purchasing the full version of PPG Wave 3.V.

But there are other cheaper synths you can buy. Even free ones!!! This thread is about the pusle 2 hardware synth we have all been discussing. Hate talk on software prices isn't really wanted on this one. I agree though waldorf (like many) charge a lot for their softsynths. But the hardware is a fair price.

Because it's a big company, they already have much money, so they could lower the prices substantially... My impression was that they were greedy, and I don't like those big companies who always want to have more and more.

I rather support a guy like Bulent with his Synthmaster...

But, okay, it was about hardware, I didn't see it, and I'm out of this thread now...

Well companies charge what they can charge. :) Arturia cut down the prices to half the price they used to sell their synths 3/4 year ago or so, which is usually a sign of bad sales... Waldorf seems to be well in business, and of course you charge for their name too. But Largo is a damn good sounding synth... so i think 199 €, even though i wouldn't be able to afford on my budget too, is an ok price. I can't afford a Porsche either, so. :P

Mh, no... that's not how business works... the way you describe it, there can't be company growth in any way. It would just all stay the same. Companies want to expand. Not stay on the same level. And you can see how difficult it is considering Waldorf was insolvent in 2004.

Edit: Back to topic, yes.

Okay, you're right. Going to a Ferrari car thread and complaining about their prices wouldn't make much sense, either...

I just got angry as I read "They're making fun in their manuals", and I thought, if they would make fun by lowering their prices (for their Largo) it would be more fun for their customers.

@Tricky-Loops
Check your facts. Not a big company. Rather small.
