If it's released why can't you? There are also a few demo sounds on the waldorf site. I want to hear more. But okay. Not because of the too low prices. Because of faulty planning. That's why most big German companies like Quelle, AEG, Grundig etc. are dead now...okay, now I'm getting angry again...I'm out now at this thread, maybe I come back at HPC...chk071 wrote:And you can see how difficult it is considering Waldorf was insolvent in 2004.Tricky-Loops wrote:Because it's a big company, they already have much money, so they could lower the prices substantially...chk071 wrote:Why?Tricky-Loops wrote: Regarding the SOFTWARE developers, Waldorf is one of the most expensive companies. what's the surprise.Kriminal wrote: you started a new thread just to talk about your involvment in the synth?
wow
ingo always believes a product needs a new thread made by him whenever he needs to pimp himself as "sound designer".
gotta love how the list of "sound designers" has been put as the top most important info next to developers.
the features of the synth and demos are deemed of lower importance and posted below lol.
also he has his own post for his own demos reserved and one separate reserved below for others :/ (like other peoples demos are less important or less worthy ?).
maybe these "kvr sound designers" individuals really believe they have real importance but to my eyes (a musician who learnt to use his instrument [the synthesizer]) they just a fraud living off lazy wannabes .
not sure exactly what he's "proud" of. he's basically built a reputation copying simple patches from synth manuals and patchbooks .. lots of "reminding" (=nice term for begging) developers to let him beta test or include his presets....and lots of sneaky update bumps to keep his threads visible (although his record of 7 consecutive update bumps with no replys has been recently beaten by amused&co ).
about the important stuff :
Para-4 (only OSC 1) ist he same as Para-8. But two oscillators per note are used. This will reduce the polyphony to four voices. You can set up pulsewidth, pitch and fade individually.
w Keep in mind: When Para-4 is selected as Shape you cannot use OSC 3. This oscillator is not accessible then.
i'm a bit confused by this
can i also choose the oscillator shape on osc2? or the paraphonic only lets you use pwm pulses for both oscillators?
pwm pulses can cover loads of poly sounds but still would love being able to choose other shapes.
btw always hated the oscillators and filters of the pulse1....i hope they changed them a little! (they have different features so they must have made some serious moddinng on the previous chips)
in any case tomorrow i might do the trip to my local store .they always keep 1 aside for display and not for sale. more a matter if they got a first stock or not so i'll have to give them a call first. anyway got also lots of others more knobbed cheap analogs to try out although mostly monos..[/b]

Not the first time you give such stupid comments concerning my work so i'll not comment about everything in detail. Basically you have no clue about most of my work besides a small part maybe.olikana wrote: what's the surprise.

Concerning "begging for doing beta tests" normally the developers ask me about it.
Concerning the part about sorting informations and demos etc. in this thread that is work in progress and should not be final. BTW demos should follow sometimes today.
Concerning the audio demos for other users i was asked by PM if i could "reserve" one post for that. There is no "evil plan" behind that. Anyway i am quite sure that i will post my demos first so the current order makes sense.
It's insane how you see bad intentions in the way things are posted.
Have a nice day.
Ingo

They didnt come up with a new design, why would they bother with a joke...

haters gonna hate..
dont give a f**k to this people ingo.
i mean i understand if someone is frustrated for giving money to a company over years just to see stuff abandoned or lack of support finally. this place is full of that stuff, we all gone through.. ..count me in..
what i really dont understand is this constant bitching against another member when he owe you nothing.

OK,
during the night i finished short audio demos for 59 of my patches (from currently 92 overall) for the Pulse 2.
I packed them into 6 MP3 files that each are around 7 minutes long. Those are single instances of the raw patches without any further FXs added.
Here are the MP3 demos:
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 1
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 2
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 3
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 4
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 5
Pulse 2 - IW Single preset demos 6
In most of those examples aftertouch (e.g. vibrato) and/or Modwheel (e.g. Cutoff) modulation was used.
The patches are not sorted by category, they contain mixed categories.
I also added those to the corresponding post that is related to the OP (= third post).
Have fun,
Ingo

Wrong on all accounts. Waldorf is a rather small company, and they are not greedy at all.Tricky-Loops wrote:Because it's a big company, they already have much money, so they could lower the prices substantially... A company which could lower their prices is UVI, Spectrasonics, etc.

preset demos are ok if you're selling a soundbank, but i would like to hear what the synth itself sounds like. Some filter sweeps would be a good start (wav files please)
also, is the pulse2 100% analogue?
does it have TI ?

No TI, it's analog (DCO).

Hot on the heels of UVI having a 25% off or greater sale the other weekend. They provide samples of some of the most esoteric, obscure instruments ever created and provide a free player for their libraries, what exactly is so terrible about their pricing?EvilDragon wrote:A company which could lower their prices is UVI, Spectrasonics, etc.
