I've used satin for years and, as good as this new u-he software is, it will never give you the 100% accuracy or feel of having proper warp-faced yarns floating over weft yarns.
Some weavers on a different thread have this week been blind testing Satin against a few vintage hardware fabrics.
The results have been pretty close so far, but most of us experienced in this trade can still pick out a few key differences.
I've sure that future development by Urs and his team will result in Satin eventually nailing not only a warp-faced, but also a weft-faced, feel.
After all, u-he are a company with excellent customer support and commitment to their development ideas.
100% accuracy arguments aside, Satin is very pleasing as a product (and has the additional benefit of making my music mixes sound better too).
Cheers.

"Daddy?" "Yes, son?" "What does regret mean?"
"Well, son, the funny thing about regret is that it's better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done. And by the way, if you see your mom this weekend, will you be sure and tell her SATIN! SATIN! SATIN!"

Set Theory claim:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate.
Red is Red and anything that is Red is an object, a class in itself or a real thing if you prefer"

lovely.. ..is that satin?
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.
