Hi Tony !
Thanks for the update.
Is it normal that I hear a big click when I bypass and unbypass the SDRR ?

grabbing now - quick suggestion - you should include version update info in the filename - otherwise they are difficult to keep track of.tonhelm wrote:Hi all,
I've just uploaded a first SDRR update.
SDRR 1.0.1 includes the following fixes/changes:
-FIX: copying an instance in DESK mode made DAW go mute under some circumstances
-FIX: stepping through the presets made DAW go mute I'm some hosts
-FIX: other oddities incl. lost (left/right channel on reloading a project ...
-CHANGE: MIX control: dry signal is now pre output gain
-ADDED: new presets by Don Tyler (Phase47)
I've also updated the manual, explaining the drift control and a few other minor things.
If you're still experiencing weird stuff, please write me a short mail.
Tony

@Endor 8o8:
Can you please send me an email to investigate this?
Does it happen with V 1.0.1?
Are you using the hosts bypass or does it happen when clicking at the VU? Which plugin format, which host? which OS?
Thanks,
Tony

Actually I think it came from my session, I tried in another session and it worked just fine (was running under Ableton 8 64bit, Win7). Sorry for the false alert !tonhelm wrote:@Endor 8o8:

I got the impression that IVGI wasn't best suited for techno or similar genres. Though i can imagine it working very well on electric bass and acoustic drums etc.
The SDRR i have only tried briefly and then i used some presets.
How do you change between the four modes?! I was only able to do that by changing presets.

IVGI works great on techno/electronic stuff, but of course it's case by case. it's on one track i mastered on the new padmasana album, as it was just the ticket!

THIS IS DOPE!
And for 20 euro....
Man hurry up to build an EQ, I will surely buy all your products!!!
Anyway I really like the Desk mode, it's really subtle but it really enhance my entire mix!
Thanks for your work!

Just trying it out now and loving it, bought untryed.
When mouse clicking the knobs I get an initial glitchy click sound.
Continued mouse clicking of same knob does not make the click sound.
Mouse click another knob and the glitchy click can be heard.
Continued mouse clicking of same knob is fine.
Etc
Win8 32bit
Ableton Live9
Lenovo T60
Core2duo

Tony,
I'm working on two songs at the moment and they both have SDRR (on Desk Mode) on the master bus.
The thing is that after installing 1.0.1 they both sounded... well, extremely different. Seems like something has changed. I lowered drive knob and it helped but somehow it doesn't sound the same as with previous version of SDRR.

Optimal number of audio plugins is one more than you currently have.

The reason for this is, that there was a bug in the compressor code of DESK mode in the initial version 1.0, which is fixed in 1.0.1. The compressor is pre saturation. Lowering the compression amount will also decrease the saturation amount in most cases.J4R1O wrote:Tony,

in 2013 so far only three plugins really impressed me, and thats EARebound, Vengeance Phalanx and SDRR.
Finally!
