Like many people on this forum, I've been inspired by Rheyne's "Live Jam" series on YouTube. If you haven't seen any of these, here's one that combines analogue gear and several iOS devices:
At the heart of it all is Ableton Live, which isn't available on our platform. (You can control Ableton from an iPad, but that's not the same as running it.) I've tried using Loopy for this, but it's recording audio, not MIDI. Any suggestions? I realize that some -- maybe all -- of this can be done in Cubasic or Beatmaker 2. But while those tools can make loops, they aren't designed to quickly build loops or switch between them. <-- Yes, I split an infinitive.
MIDI looper for Rheyne-style jamming?
