This seems pretty nice.
While I am planning if I buy a tablet or not (it will be android) I am wondering if there is any plan to add MIDI/synths?

I do not think that they will add any synthesizers in the any foreseeable future.
But for recording with OTG-USB cable and external soundcard it is excellent as there is no latency and you can record 24 bit. Also good if you need something for mixing tracks with as it comes with automation and effects and all the basic editing that you would find on a DAW.
Most of these things think that most people use their computers for but something that is good with having this application for is for back up.
This happened to me this summer was that the portable computer got broken and was going to record and used the telephone and my USB soundcard and it worked nicely.
And you do get very portable...
One phone, USB Sound Card and microphone- Full freedom as it all go on the batteries of the phone and think that there is at least more than two hours of recording time depending on device and battery.
