Since i am using cross-platform "JUCE" framework it shouldnt be hard. However i dont have mac with au workflow on the hands. I will focus on mac version after i get win version with suitable performance(something like 20% with 8 voices, compared to 65%).analoguesamples909 wrote:nice work...just wondering if a mac au might be planned for 'one day'?2DaT wrote:I think i wont do it by the end of this month. But results i get with c++ are good, at least double performance in current version.i think with some dsp tricks i can triple it

Also i found interesting thing. My plugin behave a lot better at 96 kHz ( now in c++ its possible to run 8 voices at this sample rate
). The reason of this is high frequenies attenuation in filter. I was thinking that frequencies above 14000 are barely audible but its not true, they really affect the sound, it becomes more clear and more organic. Now i want to implement 2x oversampled 0dff filter

It seems you are pretty clueless about what your doing?2DaT wrote:I was thinking that frequencies above 14000 are barely audible but its not true, they really affect the sound, it becomes more clear and more organic
The trial and error strategy is pretty amateurish if you want to develop a professional sounding plugin

He himself said that.2DaT wrote:I am amateur developer
Let him do what he wants, let him learn by trial and error, don't have too high expectations, don't wait for "professional sound" whatever that might mean, be grateful that he wants to share the results of his work for free, use the plugin if you like it, don't use it if you don't like it.

First thing I'd say is, human hearing caps off around 20k (a little higher in the young, a little lower in the old). 14k should be well within the range of most people's hearing.2DaT wrote:Also i found interesting thing. Also, don't forget that any frequencies that get produced above nyquist will want to fold over into the audible end of the spectrum as aliasing. The more oversampling you do, the less aliasing you should get. So there's another reason to oversample.

Nope, I guess that is the outlaw viewKriminal wrote:Is that your professional view..?
I just find it weird seeing the OP starting out dropping crap at other plugins being some kind of master craftsman, and then ten pages into the thread, suddenly finds that frequencies are actually influencing the sound

If you want to troll me, do it in PM. For educated persons i will give some spectrums to see that they hear

Cool! As said 20k is the upper limit not 14k. But nobody is perfect, keep up the great work Dude!2DaT wrote:Also i found interesting thing. Don't bother with "elite". Most of these usually just troll and don't give anything to actually contribute. Anyway real art comes from trial and error. Most respected developers here started just like you. Just do your thing and experiment. It is actually really refreshing to see someone at KVR enjoy coding and sound mangling.2DaT wrote:If you want to troll me, do it in PM.

keep at it 2Dat! I think you have good ears which is encouraging to get a close emulation...if you can try to get some noise in there and that elusive woody analogue tone that Diva and Monark can get it will be a great achievement...
