Here, I am merely trying to advance the opinion that many innocent people are being manipulated into making today's oppressiveness look like grade-school work compared to what it has planned for the future by the most sickening display of Pecksniffian cant that I have ever witnessed in my entire life.

I willl be very disspinted if bitwig doesn't include a cat theme, cat sound presets and a demo song inspired by this topic.

I can't imagine Bitwig having anything to do with KVR, inspired by this and other similar topics.

Agreed. I suspect likely why they have had limited communication on board.. they posted early on where they showed some distaste for the amalgamation of jokes here.. and since then all quiet.

Sad when we tend to steer developers away with our impatience and seemingly harmless jokes (at their expense).

Hopefully they'll come back when they have a release and the waters are calmer here..

and WHEN exactly will that be? I'm too lazy to go back through these threads and quote people saying the same thing from maybe even a year ago

I think about a year before that.

However, I do think it is real based on what I know, but they seem to have overpromised considerably...

I think it is real myself. Otherwise this would not even qualify for the vapourware label. My own take is that it reminds me of certain mrr manufacturers who promise, and then get preorders for, locomotives that never come to fruition. It just happens.

Oh, there is a product. But there is something seriously wrong. NO WAY can there be this kinda time unless there is some kinda bump.

No matter, next spring, when it's FINALLY released they will make bank and be sitting pretty like a kitty.

If you read their facebook page you see a some of the same thing, some people saying it will never be released. Mind you, I don"t believe I've ever said that and I actually don't think that, but they don't have to come here to see people saying that.

Yeah the timeline has been outrageous.. obviously.

Earlier in the original thread I believe Dom (from Bitwig) actually posted but offered only a wink after seeing all the shenanigans.

On their twitter page they specifically said they stopped posting for some time period on their own facebook due to the abusive comments.

We have to put ourselves in their shoes.. how would WE like getting ripped on daily? Even for a mistake.. which we all make..

Of course they made a big mistake announcing YEARS too soon.. we know that, they know that.. I don't see any one contesting that.

From the looks of it.. they have a perfectionist lead developer and thus likely a mindset of getting it right the first time. which is obviously taking.. A LOT of time. I'm not sure the cat threads, however, are helping any. The only thing that can come out of them are jokes and/or anger/frustration... neither seem to beneficial to the Bitwig guys at this point.

Not sure how many people are really holding out for it.. that is.. are putting all music on hold until the software is released. THAT would be crazy. Until then, as they have said THEMSELVES, use what you have and enjoy making music..

@VitaminD: I wouldn't like it much either, which is why I occasionally moderate and qualify my comments, but (assuming the cause was not out of their control), I'd also know I kinda caused it, and I'd maybe speak directly to it a bit better than they appear to have done.

Their problem isn't the KVR cats. It's people who actually want it (not me) maybe getting tired of waiting and buying something else. In a very real way - to those people - it's like a date that won't put out.

To me, it's just funny cats, not real frustration.

It's amazing how two simple words "Coming Soon", can have so much power.

I think we'll see it before XMas.
