that's because at the end we couldn't agree on how this format should look like, so instead of removing it completely - i just made it not output anything

we're now trying to come up with another format, an exchangable TB-303 pattern format that would unite all 303 clones who want to implement it (be it software or hardware)
but that also got burried in silence, we'll see

OK I am in Ableton, I have managed to put the VB 303 in Midi Play mode (could not figure out the pattern editor), insert a midi clip with a few notes and no sound Running another instance in pattern mode : I have sound. No the midi track is not muted. Is there anything specific to do to run the Midi Play Mode ?

I have the same problem with Live. Even if the trigger channel is set to 1 in both Venom and Live there is no sound. I can see the animation of the Venom buttons being depressed when I hit keyboard keys, but there is no sound.

robojam: if you are seeing the sequencer buttons being "pressed" - that means that the notes you are sending are on the "Buttons" channel
when you send notes to the Trigger channel - you should not see any sequencer buttons being animated (you would hear the notes get played, and the Down/Up/Accent/Slide/Pitch buttons may blink..)

meanwhile, i'm trying to port my polysynth to IPlug, and i'm doing the GUI scaled to 125% .. hope that's not too tiny now

I see the setting at the top for the trigger channel and it's set to 1. So I set the channel for that instrument channel in Live to 1 also.

All I see is the buttons being depressed. Live also has an option to send the MIDI to all channels simultaneously and when I do that I still get no sound, yet see the animation that shows that MIDI is being received by the VST.

sounds like it's always sending to all channels or something
in any case.. i don't know what's wrong

the two channel selectors are linked together into the sequencer and it is supposed to never let both of them point to the same channel
for example, if the Button channel is 3, Trigger channel is 4, and you drag the trigger channel to 3 - the button channel will go up
otherwise if both channels are the same there will surely be some undefined behaviour in the sequencer, but i think i've taken care of that (unless your DAW tries hard to mess it up)

Hello beatmagazine, if you want to compensate Anton for your very big mistake, you can buy him 3 * real Roland TB-303 and another 3 * xoxboxes. Then you can write here again. Will you do it? Let me guess, no.

Loving this VST but one question. How do I transfer the pattern I make to a file Ableton can read, so that I can place it in the arrangement view or even the session view? At the moment I can play it in the vst but not on the DAW.. Cheers in advance
