I think Theo hit the nail on the head, it's not like we wouldn't use it if we could. I mean, we bought it, we own it, it's not like it's some cracked version. So there is a deep need to express that. Sorry, it's all I've got.
@Lawrence: What I meant about the disagreeing is that many guys think we just should move on and not post in these threads. I really do understand that, but conversation got started, for whatever reason I entered (I don't I was the first one) and the wheels started rolling
Sorry about that.

Yeah, whatever the reason for the Sonar bugs I hope they eventually get it all sorted.
In the meantime, let's all silently pray for Bitwig to not be buggy. Given that some people are already complaining to other companies that they should have crash protection like Bitwig so their products won't crash, if it starts crashing after they release it... it's gonna get pretty ugly.
But I know some of the Sonar bugs are real, even if conditioned on use case. There's too many people saying the same (or very similar) things for it not to be.

I dunno, they aren't even trying now. I mean, at least with X1 they tried to fix stuff. I think it went to "D"??
X2 is stuck on "A"
It's been 9 months, that's too long considering that so many people are complaining.

I agree. 9 months without a bug fix - if there are known fixable bugs - is maybe a bit much.
Anyway, if they ever get that sorted to user satisfaction they'll have a really outstanding product I guess.

I'd really like seeing vsts not giving MIDI headaches. Really now.

Well see, I disagree with this mentality (that a person should not post an opinion). Even if someone's opinion is negative it is possible to shed some light on questions another reader may have.hibidy wrote:@Lawrence: What I meant about the disagreeing is that many guys think we just should move on and not post in these threads. Sorry about that.
However, I also disagree that it is ok to post whatever and subject others to unneccessary babble.
I mean, if one has a negative opinion of a product, it's ok to say so. But one should follow up with facts, not just "DAW XYZ sucks!". Add the "because".
A lot of people rely on these threads, and other forums, to take in the good and the bad before making a buy decision. I know I did when I first joined KVR - actually the main reason - and still do look to this forum for information when I am looking to buy something.
So, in essence what I'm saying is post your comments, and even if negative, make them constructive. Conversation is not about all positive. But have the conversation. And even if someone disagrees, try to see their point of view.
I've been holding off saying this but just feel compelled - I always thought musicians were an open minded bunch. In days of late I am starting to find other wise (in some cases) and I find this is a shame. I feel it limits creativeness. And isn't that why we are musicians, or involved in music, in the first place?
I think we are never too old to learn. Please don't close the mind to learning.
JMHO
Happy Musiking!
