Splitting audio with a cue list

Anyone know an editor that can create regions/tracks/whatever from an imported cue list?

I have some old live recordings with some rough cue lists (track durations rather than start times for some reason) so would like to load up the audio, import the durations and have the regions created. I've found some tools that'll split the file automatically but I really need to check the regions first (cues not always accurate...)

Couldn't find anything in Audition to do this, was going to chuck the lists into Excel and create a start times list then manually add the markers but, being a lazy ass, thought I'd ask here first...

Does the rough cue you have look anything like the txt file, in the top right of the image?

If it does, you can try to import it into Audacity, then edit it by text fields (bottom), or click n drag (top) to make corrections.

If the info isnt similar, and you really hate excel, you could load up audacity, the cue sheet, and a calculator.

It's just a list of times but I could easily generate something like your example (short songs, Napalm Death gig? )

Never think of Audacity, need to give that app more respect than I do.

That txt is the actual export of the project, so yeah, with what you have, should be fairly quick to format it so audacity can comprehend.

Lol @ Napalm Death gig. It was the only wav on my desktop. Just threw in markers / moved them for example.

Agreed about the respect part. Its not perfect, but for what it can do, how small it is, and a non-installer version for Win, I always keep a copy on a USB key, along with some VST FX that dont require installs. Nice little on-the-go toolbox IMO.
