Lovely synth, and what a bargain. I find it really inspiring to play, and it's helped me come up with lots of new ideas that may never have seen the light of day without it. No brainer purchase.

Filter FM put me over the top. Should have already bought it, but finally did. Also just noticed the volume compensation on the filter. Great addition there too. I love these little additions that make a classic even better, but doesn't change the overall interface or usability, more like a small mod on the hardware, making it better.

Would be cool to see fm between the different osc shapes too, but I guess it's really only technically one osc.

You can tap FM from any of the waveforms, including the subs and the noise.

Seriously, this feature has opened the door wide open for new sounds. FM and ringmod type stuff, faux detuned shit, textured glassy pads, or you can use it as a waveshaper to get more waveforms.

I know you can use the different shapes to modulate the filter. I meant one osc waveform modulating another.

+1 for an enhanced TAL101 (which would then of course be a new synth altogether)

Actually as I mentioned in another thread, I think the best enhancement, keeping the synth in it's true hardware form, would be to add a second envelope, with a simple switch (A/B for example), switching to the other envelope. So it's still a 101 and you don't have to care that it's there. But having an assignable aux envelope would let you have the filter envelope separate from the amp envelope, or, even cooler, apply the envelope to the Filter FM. An envelope on an FM control always gives great sounds.

We uploaded two new demos that compares the hardware against the plugin, because most people do not have an 101 and the first demo was not optimal, we changed some things in the envelope after we made the demo.

Recorded @ 44.1kHz. Hardware and software alternate after each note. The hardware device starts. Every attack sounds different. This is related to the free running VCO and the reason we play every note more than once in this demo, otherwise it would not be possible to compare the envelope attack.

recorded @ 44.1kHz. The hardware plays a arpeggiator sequence. In the middle of each sequence the software starts to play the same arpeggiator pattern.

There's been no doubt in my mind that you completely nailed this emulation. I look forward to whatever you try to tackle next. I'm a fan of these hyper-realistic emulations of classics so if you want to do more, I'm already in.

damn. I can't really tell the difference. My own regret is you said which was first. I would have loved to hear those who say they can always tell make idiots of themselves :-)
