Nice to hear! :)

That's great, glad I could help

A liitle OT: does a plugin exist like Sugar Bytes Turnado/Effectrix/Artillery with the ability to load vst-plugins? If not, someone should create that! Blue Cat Audio maybe?

Don't worry we have a couple of ideas of plug-ins that would benefit from VST hosting... :-)

Blue Cat's MB-7 Mixer 2.03 is here:

New Features:
- Tempo sync support for hosted plug-ins.
- AudioSuite support (offline processing) for the AAX version.
Plug-ins Compatibility Improvements:
- Some plug-ins that required tempo sync used to crash on load.
- Fixed compatibility issues with FabFilter plug-ins.

You may want to retry the plug-ins that used to fail with the previous versions, as tempo sync support fixed a couple of issues (for example Dune and Nexus synths, Korg Legacy plug-ins, older Nomad Factory plug-ins such as ECHOES...)

Yep, you can thank them for helping us out on this one btw!

We are glad to announce Blue Cat's MB-7 Mixer 2.04, improving compatibility with several VST plug-ins:
- Fixed: some reverb plug-ins used to have their tail cut.
- Fixed: some VST plug-ins sometimes prevented Pro Tools from exiting (Kontakt 5 for example).
- Fixed: when inserting plug-ins with different latencies on different bands, tempo and MIDI events were not always in sync.

Introduction offer for the plug-in and several bundles has been extended until October 15th, don't miss it!

Checking it out, so far it looks great!

One suggestions:
When loading VSTs - please open the dialog default directory to the last location used or have the ability to set a default search location.
I'm using Windows7 and it's not even opening to the location where I have the MB-7 installed in, its always opening to C:\Program Files\VstPlugIns
I keep my plug-ins on another drive.

Thanks for the feedback. You may want to change the default VST folder using the preferences pane (spanner icon). From the user manual:
This VST plug-ins directory is used for several purposes:
- It is the default directory that is opened when you want to load a VST plug-in.
- It is used as the root path when saving/loading presets that include VST effects: the path of VST plug-ins is saved relatively to this root path, so that you can reopen your sessions on different machines that may have different VST paths (typically on a Mac and a PC).
Hope this helps!

Hi Guys

Great job on the plug-in Blue Cat badly needed.

Now that VI hosting is supported might the plug-in be able to support multiple outputs. So in the same that sense that I route the multiple outputs of one instance of Kontakt to multiple instrument tracks within Pro Tools ?

That feature would make it the ultimate plug-in in my opinion

Hello Blue Cat crew,

First a Drag&Drop functionality for the VST Plugins would be nice! Because then I could drag&drop plugins from the browser of my host to the MB7! This would be nice! :)

Furthermore I have more than one VST directories and it would be nice if I can define more than one.

I dont know how to automate parameters of the vst plugins, is this possible? And even if the internal automation is enabled it isnt displayed on the control panel of Studio One if moved.

I suggested a dry/wet slider a few weeks ago and you have told me, it is a problem with the different plugins because of phase problems. You said, it is only with plugins which use a filter, correct? it would be nice, if you implement it, because it is a really useful feature and plugins with phase problems can be reported! But this feature is too important as example for parallel processing and maybe we can live with some limitations because of the phase. If phase problems occur, isnt it possible to integrate a phase alignment tool?
