September 29, 2013: Voxengo TransGainer version 1.5 is now available for download. Voxengo TransGainer implements an audio signal envelope adjustment algorithm that reacts on transients rather than on a signal's loudness level. TransGainer is available in AudioUnit, VST and VST3 plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support), for Mac OS X (v10.5 and later), and Windows computers.

This updated version 1.5 introduces a new "Precise U" algorithm and now supports VST3.

TransGainer allows you to specify positive or negative gain adjustment for a sound's transient stage. You can also choose an expected average time between transients and transient threshold level so that the algorithm delivers you the most precise results possible. With the help of TransGainer you can pass the border from good to excellent audio recordings.

TransGainer features:
  • Transient stage loudness adjustments
  • Three processing algorithms
  • 5 processing modes in the "legacy" algorithm
  • Transient-to-transient time control
  • Stereo and multi-channel processing
  • Internal channel routing
  • Channel grouping
  • Mid/side processing
  • Up to 8x oversampling
  • 64-bit floating point processing
  • Preset manager
  • Undo/redo history
  • A/B comparisons
  • Contextual hint messages
  • All sample rates support
  • Zero processing latency
Demo version of Voxengo TransGainer can be downloaded at the Voxengo web site: http://www.voxengo.com/product/transgainer/

Transgainer rocks, one of the best sounding transient managers.

Aleksey, any info on whether pristine space will ever be updated? Or maybe a convolution plugin with a different name?

The new Precise U algorithm is awesome!!! I'm absolutely loving it!

Great work Aleksey!

Cheers!

Thanks. Prisine Space will be fully recoded one day, but I can't say when this will happen exactly. Most hosts now come with a built-in convolver, so, frankly saying, the need for a "3rd party" convolver is now quite minor.

Yes, but most if not all of them are crap to use and often don't make using 3rd party impulses very easy :)

I not sure what DAW you use, but Steinberg's Reverence is very nice

what I dont get is that you prefer permanently creating new versions of compressors, transient designers etc...which are only rarely better than your competition, but for many years refusing to update PS which still has almost no competition - quality or feature-wise...

and the same thing is even more stupid in case of abandoned :?: Impulse Modeler, which is one of its kind and has zero competition in its price range

I dont know - is it 8 channel?...does it has noisefloor under -160 db?...like Pristine Space...can you tell?

Is it like Ableton where you have to use Max4Live in order to use an Impulse? Not gonna happen in my case.

Is it like Guitar Rig where you have to bla, bla, bla?

I would love to see an update to Pristine Space.

I do not agree with you on the quality of Voxengo compressors, transient designers, etc. Most Voxengo plug-ins have their userbase, counting thousands of users (legal and as much illegal) and steadily growing. Impulse Modeler being unique is also uniquely unwanted software, never was, so you obviously do not know what you are talking about, sorry. As I've replied before, Pristine Space HAD a growing userbase in the past, but not now.

That may not be the only reason.
