I saw this yesterday. Its very very exciting. If this becomes the full DAW solution many Maschine users are looking for I wonder how many people will leave their current DAWs for it. I am heavily considering going all Maschine if the software is up to snuff.

well im not so sure i am willing to spend a grand for the flagship midi controller, but the new software features look really amazing! Especially the drum synth!
Also why prism and not Monark? Seems a bit off since this would help them drag in more of the Urban producers by having a built in Minimoog.

I'm looking more at some of the other improvements here as some justification of the higher price. Color screen with improved resolution; jog wheel and dedicated edit buttons are what strike out at me immediately. As far as the audio, okay, as long as it plays well with my other audio interfaces?

Yep and they've added a lot of the OTR stuff and FRs that people have been asking for, super excited for this! Unlimited groups and instrument slots, hoping midi effects can be used now.xamido wrote:Really? The 2.0 will work with MK1 too? That's great news for me.musikmachine wrote:Why? But yeah that's a hefty price tag, i don't know if it's worth it for the hi-res screens and revised controls but the 2.0 upgrade seems like a no brainer...

Lack of multicore has been a bottleneck for me and one of the reasons i use a daw, i want to stay in maschine as much as possible and use my more demanding plugins so this is fantastic. Not sure about multitimbral routing although with unlimited groups and the new mixer i'm guessing there's something in place although it's still only 16 outs...KevWestBeats wrote:I saw this yesterday. Fwiw a drum synth has been requested for maschine from a couple of years back and Ni hinted it was coming a few months ago.aMUSEd wrote:Those drum synth modules should have been in Battery 4

I agree. This update has given me everything that I have asked for except for mp3 import/export and multitimbral. I am also happy the software update is only $99. NI confirmed it about 20 minutes ago. That is very affordable Ill be on it day one!musikmachine wrote:Lack of multicore has been a bottleneck for me and one of the reasons i use a daw, i want to stay in maschine as much as possible and use my more demanding plugins so this is fantastic. You must not do any sound design with various synths...KevWestBeats wrote:I saw this yesterday. Its very very exciting.
