Phalanx Vs Metrum

I have always associated Vengeance-Sound with "Dance music" sound. Production ready Dance Music sounds that a lot of musicians in those circles want to use. I demoed Metrum last night "just for kicks" (I guess literally and not literally at the same time). It turns out I could use this plugin night and day to make Hip Hop, Trip Hop and Electronica kick drums. I almost regret demoing it because now I want it I tell myself I can't drop $200 on kick sounds but then remind myself that I used to pay $100 for a sample CD...

One thing I did wish for was separate audio outs for the OSC and layers. One thing led to another and now I am looking at Phalanx for which there is no demo but for which there are individual audio outputs. It's a bit more pricey (especially since I would probably get the more expensive 6000 presets version)

Can Phalanx replace Metrum (more or less) + the added Phalanx goodies? Looking for Phalanx users that also own or have demoed Metrum. I haven't been able to watch the Phalanx videos yet. Phalanx doesn't seem to have an OSC.

How do the presets compare for kicks? How many Kick presets are there in Phalanx?
