Are there really people who think Bitwig Studio is not real software? Seriously?
I thought it was a big rouse and all part of ableton..
so much for conspiracy lol.
Sorry bw guys.. I look forward to trying your program.
U da best!
You gotta love this guy!
Someone mentioned somewhere about eating some crow....from experience, use plenty of all spice.
Seriously Theo, I have a feeling it will be a great program.
All the best,

I don't think there is any reason to feel stupid about thinking it was vaporware. Million dollar movie productions get leaked way before release - BW somehow managed not one leak, other than their very own rare announcements and some people who saw a "demonstration" at musikemesse there was nothing else out there.
How many times did you check KVR just for BW news and got nothing but ...Kitties!

So let me get this straight: There is still no Bitwig, just another semi-official confirmation that at will be released "soon" at some unspecified date, and now we're all saying that we're sorry we ever doubted them?
I will remain cynical until I can download the demo thnx

BTW. You can even put another Drawbar Organ with different settings into the effect slot of the first Drawbar Organ.garyboozy wrote:yep, what thomas said. the automation itself is top notch too - alt-click an automation node to turn it into an 'S' curve. fast and easy.
the reverb's 'tank' section is great, where you can insert effects inside the verb for some great otherworldy spaces, v cool.
there's a simple drawbar organ as one of the instrument devices. a bit meh, you might think, but when you modulate it, it's a nifty sound design tool.
Go as Fat as you want
Everything I tested so far sounds excellent by the way.
Cheers,
Tom

I never doubted it actually existed but I did have some occassional doubt as to whether they'd actually release the damn thing or not.jeffh wrote:So let me get this straight: There is still no Bitwig, just another semi-official confirmation that at will be released "soon" at some unspecified date, and now we're all saying that we're sorry we ever doubted them?

If they don't release this year (which seems fairly likely they will now) the USMC (United States Marine Cats) will re-implement the draft and call up the reserve kitties back to active duty..

Unless'n someone actually has the real Bitwig in their hands it will remain vapourware to this hardened cynic.

Wow, we can talk now? Who gave the go ahead? While I'm a "beta-tester" I haven't been active in the beta due to work in other areas, so I haven't seen any official announcement.ThomasHelzle wrote:BTW. Anyway, probably my favorite feature (if you couldn't guess)is the controller scripting. Very easy to understand for a non-coder and very powerful!
Then the in-clip audio editing. Such a time saver. I remember when Claes showed me all the clip editing features at Winter NAMM, my jaw almost hit the floor.
I'm just as excited for the official release as everyone else. I think this is going to be very cool.
Gotta get back to working on other stuff I can't talk about.
