thanks arkmabat, it's a basic effect plugin and uses the host GUI.
Going back from that page to;
http://879.hanac200x.jp/soft/index.html you get these;
SoundEffect.exe - standalone for applying effects to wav samples.
ThereTami.exe - tone generator type standalone
both in japanese but fairly straightforward to play about with.
interpret.exe and makeind.exe both look like DOS type stuff to me - not my bag anyway. Please see my next post as I had some pc problems after running these. As for funtra installer, I'll leave that for a rainy day...
Edit: All good now.

These are featured on VST Planet now, from SynthSchool:
Not new, but I hadn't seen them before, an Odyssey emu, and a FM plug amongst others:

+1 It's a bit annoying that s/he can't indicate if the freebie is newly released, or some older one that he has dug up and thus is new for him/her.eidenk wrote:Not new indeed and the VST Planet guy has got a habit of regularly putting in his news section stuff that is not new at all, well, perhaps it's new for him.

I had some problems with my pc after running these. BTnetprotectplus/McAfee would idle after the opening the XP screen and effectively froze my pc. Had to uninstall BTnetprotectplus/McAfee and reinstall and then all was fine. I don't know what actually caused it but thought I'd better tell you.bob bobwood wrote:thanks arkmabat, it's a basic effect plugin and uses the host GUI.

Quite a few hidden gems to be found here. Page will probably need translating from French but it will be worth it for some older versions and vapourware! ENJOY!!!

You are most welcome! I'd suggest that you should look a little deeper though. There are different pages (towards the bottom with effects broken down into categories) with vst listings that don't just link to external links. Check out some of the old Voxengo freebies that are no longer offered for example.
Cheers!

People, or more or less people, if an effect doesn't have a GUI that doesn't mean it's not good. I use about a dozen GUIless gems myself. It is about how they SOUND.
Sound, you know - SOUND? I think this is an audio forum, not a designer forum? Yap, just checked - it's a forum about audio plugins, not Adobe forum.
Sound is about the DSP coding of the audio processing and the GUI is just like slapping a nice looking chassis on a really great engine. If you have a bad looking chassis, or not at all, it can still run pretty good if you have a great engine. If you catch my drift? And chassis can look the best, and shiny, and sparkly, and whatever, but if the engine is sheisse then you get sheisse out.
sheisse=excrement, if you know what I mean.
You can't HEAR even an atom of that GUI and all you hear is the audio DSP processing behind it. So NEVER judge a plugin by its GUI. That's such a common mistake... because our society is based on looks.
If an effect has three parameters only, why would you want a GUI at all? 3 parameters? It's ridiculous. It's as ridiculous as that fausage shittner plugin or whatever it's called. I'd call it aliasing producer.
It is probably hard to believe that but some people really make DSP code with their hearts and they produce great results. Since most of the people who are programmers don't posses designing talents all you have to do is add 2+2... GUI doesn't make a good plugin, AUDIO DSP code does.
