Plugin delay compensation.awol9000 wrote:Can someone explain what PDC is?
No question, okay.......fluxmind wrote: Yes, it's aimed at morons(sheep), there's no question here, but still it's a great creative tool which would highly benefit from PDC and would attract more people, because it's much more fun to make something in Maschine, than in usual established archaic ways.
Whatever.....
Has NI said they'll add one? I didn't know it was requested for Batts, i haven't used that since about v2. I always thought it was the ultimate drum sampler.aMUSEd wrote:It's been requested for Battery since version 1.musikmachine wrote:Fwiw a drum synth has been requested for maschine from a couple of years back and Ni hinted it was coming a few months ago.aMUSEd wrote:Those drum synth modules should have been in Battery 4
I'm sure they will come as a future update of Battery. That + bigger library = 99 euros. Nah - now I'm being cynicalmusikmachine wrote:Has NI said they'll add one? Really need to know that, be weird if they haven't with the new mixer and unlimited slots; how you gonna mix those kontakt drum kits?! Must surely be part of the rewrite!loachm wrote:...are there any confirmed sources about handling multi-timbral instruments? I couldn't believe it, if you're still forced to open a new instance of e.g. Kontakt for every sound...
Also worth noting is that logically this introduces latency which is a no-no for those (like me) who uses Maschine live.liv wrote:Plugin delay compensation.awol9000 wrote:Can someone explain what PDC is?
It compensates for plugins that introduces a certain amount of delay (time for calculation), like some reverbs for example.
People are complaining about the 99 euros but that's what NI does don't they; all their .0 updates are paid but i thought there would have been a 1.9 update although they said a rewrite was necessary to implement all the stuff people were asking for. Cynical and underhanded i dunno, maybe but this is a huge update and i for one am well excited!DrGonzo wrote:I'm sure they will come as a future update of Battery. That + bigger library = 99 euros. Yeah - if they really have included everything that people were asking for then I'm all cool with 99 euros. But so far I've only heard about MIDI import and multicore support.musikmachine wrote:People are complaining about the 99 euros but that's what NI does don't they; all their .0 updates are paid but i thought there would have been a 1.9 update although they said a rewrite was necessary to implement all the stuff people were asking for. Do you still use Maschine?
Yeah it'd be great to be able to run 1.8 concurrently, surprised they didn't have a public beta what wiv all the mk1 and mk2 owners.hibidy wrote:I have no problem with the 99 bucks. Again, I seriously doubt that a 2.0 release is going to be w/o it's problems.
