We've re-vamped our site for the first time in a few years. It's a full overhaul, although most of the content remains the same. We've added newer photos to the gallery and provided links for all our live clips. We've also added something that quite a few have asked for over the years. I won't tell you what it is, you can poke around and work it out for yourself. There are a few things that still aren't working properly, mostly the wallpapers, but I'll have that ironed out over the weekend.

We're also asking for your feedback on the artwork for our next album. We still haven't got the Facebook page ready yet so, in the meantime, you can leave comments here if you have any.

I liked 3 and 6 the best, though I thought everything but 5 would work well.

You should submit a link/tunes to the Cliff & Ivy show on stenchradio.com, they would totally play your music (if they're not already) I know I've heard CombiChrist and some other names you've mentioned working with before on their show.

Your synths sound absolutely amazing but do
you really hate God? I'd use your synths all the time if you were to have a turn-
around. You'd probably get a lot more publicity, too. Like I said, I love the sound of
your synths. Ripsnorter has an amazing bass-growl pad.

Mind you the terms you accepted before:

" The Licensee

I know you have your image/music (I have my valued Kvr account's credibility on the line) but I challenge you to try something new. Thank you again for your free synths.

it's art. sometimes art has disturbing titles/themes. you don't have to listen to it or use his synths, arkmabat.

Regarding the album cover, I'd combine No. 2 with No. 4! (An atom bomb behind the gate!)

BTW, your synths would be much more usable with a bigger GUI; the controls are that tiny that I nearly need a magnifier to read them...

I wouldn't take it TOO serious. Both guys are making great industrial-punk-music. It's a show, it's to protest against society. It's similar to Marilyn Manson or the Rocky Horror Picture Show...

Yeah, that Junkyard image is amazing. That's probably my favourite but I put so much more work into most of the others that I don't want it all to go to waste.

Seriously? You won't use something made by someone who disagrees with something you believe? How pathetic is that? I mean, I'm perfectly happy that Christians won't use my stuff, it's your/their loss, not mine.
Oh, and for the record, it's not possible to hate god because god doesn't exist. But it is very easy to hate the things done by humans in the name of god. Very easy indeed.

Quite the opposite for me, they are most useful BECAUSE the UIs are so small. But you'll find that the text labels on the Nitrous synths, which are the ones you want to be using, are bigger than your average VST UI, a lot bigger than some, and the control widgets and knobs are about average size. e.g. If you compare them to DUNE, you'll find the text is exactly the same size (because I made it's UI, too). I just push everything close together so there is no wasted space, which means I can see more stuff without having to collapse/expand other UI elements in ORION.

sometime in the next decade i predict that kvr will gradually accept that individual values are not globally applicable and eventually stop posting every time someone does something different from the way they think is best. spread out/compact, light/dark, rotary/vertical.. people, we hear ya, do you hear us..

Red's not really part of our palette. We've discovered that another EBM band, Modulate, used the atomic bomb image a few years ago so I think it's off the list now. The "bridge" image is actually taken inside an old factory that's been converted into an exhibition space. I think it was the gantry for a crane or something.

I actually find it quite interesting because it's feedback I get fairly regularly. Someone looks at the overall size of the UI and decides that absolutely everything is too small, when the reality is that the individual elements are a good size, to make them as usable as possible, they are just jammed in together. I think it's also got a lot to do with your host. ORION is about the only host I've seen where you have any hope of keeping everything visible at one time. In every other host you accept that things like Instrument/effect UIs will be hidden most of the time, so there is no real reason for them to be space-efficient. OTOH, the smaller the UI, the more of them I can see in one go in ORION, without blocking my view of the mixer or playlist.

If I wasn't posting from my phone earlier, I would have made more of an effort to defend my choice.

#1: Sorry, but this looks like a Photoshop tutorial from the mid 90's. I'm sure you spent a lot of time on it, but this is the weakest of the designs.

#2: This is nice, but my eye gravitates to the figure in the doorway, and never leaves it to look up to the text.

#3: An awesome image, ominous in black and white, and the orange/yellow text stands out dramatically.

#4: This is a cool image, but it requires you to spend too much time examining the details of just what it is. The yellow middle, light gray above it, and darker section below all compete for your attention, and once again, the text suffers as a result.

#5: This is actually a nice, strong design, but it can't compete with the coolness of #3.

#6: This looks great, but it makes a stronger image in black and white, and of course the text doesn't work as well. A little obvious in the use of Trapcode Shine or whatever that is.

Thanks for the detailed feedback, deastman. For the record, I haven't used Photoshop for a single thing in any of the artwork and the first one didn't take that long at all as I already had most of it set up for some skinning work I was doing. I don't mind the fact that the second one draws your eye away from the type because we're not selling the band name, we're trying to engage anyone to take an interest in the music within, although you'll notice the logo and type are bigger on that than the others. It also has to be taken in context, where prospective customers will be flipping through racks of CDs in a store, so whatever is near the top will get the greatest exposure. And yes, you correctly identified the use of Shine.
