I appreciate that this isn't a very rational viewpoint (and no, I haven't been on the booze yet tonight), but there's something about F Major that I despise.
Its pompous, leering 'blaaargh' really gets up my nose: for goodness sake, we have C Major to occupy the bossy show-off role of the keyboard, so quite why F Major needs to come out with its mocking car horn noise beats me.
Give me a crisp A Minor or mysterious E Major any day.
And I've even time for that jolly fellow, G Major, which sounds to me like a naive puppy dog chasing its tail.
But F Major: I loathe its smugness and refuse to put it into my songs.
Anyway...
Which chords do you seldom use?
And am I the only one to attach 'odd' characteristics to chords?
