The bug tracking software from the user perspective is far better too.
Good to hear that - the Live 9 beta was one of the most idiotic beta-experiences I ever had and the 8.4.1 Beta has been similarly unhappy.

I'll keep Live 8. The tiny improvements in 9 are in areas I don't care about, some things are IMO even worse than before...
After 4 years, I wasn't prepared for a tiny updatelet for a price that doesn't have any relation to what I get.

I'll check back at version 10 or if they have a 75% off sale. ;-)

Cheers,

Tom

I was happy with Live 8 as far as what a host can do. I upgraded to 9 because I wanted to get a Push (which I did). I find Push just ridiculously fun. The 9.1 update adds a note sequencer with parameter automation which is sweet...

The thing with Bitwig that could entice me down the road is the per note expression (once the u-he synths are compatible!). Live does not even record PolyAT!

Post

i have an eigenharp and i need per note expression, - cubase is the only option right now

Sorry, wrong thread.

let's hear some audio demos!

what would be most appreciated would be 16/44.1 WAV clips of included synths & fx, and audio timestretching & repitching before/after.

fyi: if you upload wavs to soundcloud and make them available for download, the downloaded file will be bit-for-bit identical to what you uploaded - though listening to the file by streaming will be affected by soundcloud compression.

:)

Thomas doesn't work for Bitwig.

We haven't got all night.

Some of us need to eat sometime.

Do you have something you would like to say?

I agree with you.

It's good that this situation has not escalated and we can just focus on the main point.

Go on. I'll back you up. Just say it!

Can you tell if what are the MIDI editng tools? (things like half-time, transposition and the like)

Is there any "notepad" feature (where we can put comments, lyrics and the like)?

Yeah, life was good till I interfered.

If you're passive aggressive, now is the time to come out of the closet!

That's a joke right?

Life was good, until I posted a couple of lines of idiotic text?

Somehow I have pissed in your toy box?

Please, just ignore me. I'm a sad old troll.

I look forward to, finding out when bigwit will be released. How much it will cost. Cat pics.

it's late, and you're bored. possibly lonely. there's an off topic section if you want to seek validation there, and better yet - a whole internet and bottomless hole of social media to get your kicks from. I'm totally sure the streaming-conscious style of neurotic rhetoric will solicit the type of back-slapping approval & jpegs you seek from faceless peers.

pc999, you can see some stuff relating to that in the screenshots Thomas posted. There are x2 and :2 buttons just like in ableton, and there are transpose buttons for +/-12 and +/-1.

codec, none of the beta testers seem to be privy to when it will be released or what the price will be, so that is most likely not going to come out in this thread.

Post

I've tried to stay out, but lolzes to the bitwig thread. Must be because I'm lonely

This is how you react when the thread is on topic:
hibidy wrote:oh ffs with the "perfect question" stuff.........guys......it's an AUDIO HOST, not a surgical kit

@audio: How specific do you want? I have live. What are the main benefits of using bitwig while recording audio like guitar?
Mono inputs?
Timestretch like live? How does it compare?

Let's start there, but honestly, this "only soup for you thing" is kinda stale.
dissing people for having specific queries for beta testers who are eager to answer.

for some reason you are only truly happy within this thread when you are acting like an arse, or when others are doing likewise. one can only speculate why a guy can't get his jollies in the off-topic subforum, or on the rest of the internet, rather than insisting on getting them here in a thread with a specific purpose in a sub-forum with a specific purpose...neither of which are providing you or anyone else with jollies at the cost of distracting the thread from it's intended purpose, especially while the information is flowing. all for the sake of quenching your [speculation mode] boredom or loneliness [/speculation mode]. You laugh because you don't feel lonely ? Maybe you only feel that way because, by your own admission, you spend your every waking hour on your computer. Disconnect your router for a few days and tell me how you feel.

Again, like Thomas, I can only speculate why certain {high-post-count particularly} posters like yourself act the way you do. If you put as much energy into making music as you do into making 13 posts a day on KVR, you'd probably have more to offer threads like these.

Post

lolz, total drive-by......enjoy!

Post

I already thought I'm on the wrong forum lately ;-)
Thanks guys for making sure we're on KVR still.

I've to go back to some other work for a while so maybe some other testers can jump in and help with some of the questions.

Cheers guys,

Tom
