I'll run the midi through the metal preset kits that use the new BFD3 sounds.
Nice one, Once I have had a rest I will throw something together Genetic_Junk and pop it on this thread. I could go without the kick drum if I like the cymbals and toms enough for example and cook up a bit of a beast with SD2, BFD3, Kontakt & Drumagog (One possible setup of endless possibilities)

Appreciate, Speak soon :D

I'd volunteer too. I have no idea how a metal drum mix is supposed to sound with no instruments around it, but I could certainly give you an idea as to how well the AMG mode works.

Yeah  That's my question too. The promos of some of these are the "real" drummers playing and not the playing of the samples ;)
Maybe Drew or someone else from Fxpansion can chime in to confirm, but I think the demos actually use some of the presets. The presets sound great, and are completely mix-ready IMO, but more importantly: the raw drum recordings sound great. I'd say this is easily the best sounding stock library Fxpansion (and probably any one else) has ever put out on a product like this.
+1. Best i've heard so far, and i own a buuuuunnnnch of drum libs. Thumbs up to the team ! :)

All the demos are BFD3 playing.

All the drummer did on the session was hit single drum hits... So impossible for it to be anything else but from inside BFD3

That's what I'm afraid of. User demos will tell the tail.
Please post the audio examples of Dean's midi files.

read the post above you.

unless you're afraid that they won't sound as good when you do it, which is, of course, possible, unless you're wicked good with programming drums

I'm really curious to hear about the new kits. TBH, the older kits are great for when they were made, but I'd be looking at how much better the 7 new kits are.

Rail's post wasn't up there when I posted mine.

LOL at the guys who think the demos are not from the actual software! That did make me chuckle :)

FWIW, I did a couple of the demos...

Rough Rock - played on our office TD-20, bit of quantization here and there to fix timing
Antirazor - programmed in the groove editor, wasn't played live
Gretsch Beasts - came from one of my songs where I played the drums on a TD-6 kit. I didn't even have to adjust the velocities for that one either.

I'll take a crack with Deans midi, but it wont be till later tonight. Going out now to eat a pigs face off (after being ill the past two days, I need some flesh!!)

That rough rock demo sounds awesome.
I apologize for my skepticism, but I've heard fantastic demos
in the past, bought the product, and the sound wasn't close to the demos.

Post

No need to apologize, it's kinda flattering in a way!! Means the product (and my mix) are doing their job!!

FWIW, all of the drum processing was done inside of BFD3, and the only extra processing I did was a little LA2A limiting on the master buss inside my host. That preset is one of the ones we included with the software too!
