Yeah, Maschine has had regular timestrech since 1.8.

Realtime timestretch has been on the roadmap as well which I'm sure the 2.0 rewrite was part of laying the foundation for implementing that.

It just keeps playing until the end of the sample unfortunately. At least it did back when I first tried using it this way.
That's what the ADSR is for though. ;)
Or you can assign a choke to it if you still need the behaviour of one shot.

My latest song I have a 90 sec clip from a movie starting on scene 2 and playing till scene 8 (the breakdown). I had to assign a choke in scene 1 so I wouldn't hear it (keep playing until retriggered) every time I restarted.

Looks like that Guitar Center coupon might not be working anymore but you can get the Maschine Studio at JRRShop for $849.15 + tax with the discount code (group).

ADDITIONAL NEW FEATURES

Improved Arranger View now displays pattern lengths in the Scene Arranger. Ghost patterns are automatically displayed so you see which patterns in each scene are repeating

Cue Channel lets you audition sounds when browsing and sampling, and create and pre-listen to entire patterns before sending them to the master bus - an ultra-powerful feature when using MASCHINE live.

New Feedback Compressor based on a vintage classic features ultra-fast attack and analog-like warmth. Perfect for capturing drum and percussion transients other compressors might miss.

New Plate Reverb is a versatile reverb capable of sounds ranging from bright to dark with a light metallic quality. Great for snares and vocals and the perfect complement MASCHINE's Classic Reverb.
Improved looping functionality lets you set loop ranges independent of scene loop ranges

Auto-Follow Mode keeps the cursor on the exact point in the song playing - identify sounds and make adjustments quickly and easily without having to scroll through your track to find the current playback position.

Time Display gives you accurate time measurement in minutes and seconds.
Scene and Pattern Manager for intuitive scene swapping and changing.

Improved Step Sequencer now with feedback on the displays and velocity triggering.

Gate Function lets you adjust the length of repeated notes when using the note repeat function.

Multiple Sound Editing lets you edit parameters across several sounds at once for increased efficiency.

Multiple Group Editing lets you edit parameters across several groups at once.

Macro Controls are now also available on sound and master levels, as well as groups.

Choke Group and Pad Link now on one screen for ultimate convenience

Enhanced Choke Group Functionality lets you choke sounds across groups and now even allows you to choke plug-in with a sound - incredible power and flexibility.

Improved Undo Functionality now gives you the ability to undo and redo an entire take at once

Customizable Metronome lets you load your own metronome sounds
Improved Sampler Mapping gives you enhanced overview of all parameters with a list of all samples for easy access

Independent Macro Controls on selected groups.

Still not clear on multi routing and midi fx but some screenshots seem to suggest you can insert midi fx. Guess we just gotta wait for teh info.

Yeah i'll probably get a mkII, studio is overkill for me but someone was talking aboutbuying a mkII to get the upgrade for free and using that for travel or laptop use which is not a bad idea! :)

Review from saintjoe here! http://www.americanmusical.com/content- ... dio-Review

They added multitimbral routing and you can route midi internally, hopefully this means being able to load and route midi fx but i'm still not clear on that one!

Saintjoe gets to have all the fun!

Of course, he's the patron saint of NI. :hihi: Seriously i think NI were looking for beta testers a few months back but i guess only a chosen few got the hardware.

Really happy about that though, i've got all these little question marks about what they added as it's been a long wait but this month seems even longer somehow! :wheee::wheee:

He does a pretty good job. He knows this shit WAY WAY better than I ever could. I think it was SJ that made the nice viddy that helped with live and maschine.

Post

Yeah i learnt a lot from his videos, convinced me to keep hold of maschine when i was thinking about selling it but i wanted to wait and see what NI did anyway and it's fair to say there is a certain amount of relief with this news! :phew:
