As one who can't speak too much about it. Got the final sounds and just wow....

Ahh, look what it says along the top of the keyboard in that pic. Looks like you can modulate lots of things rather than just frequency perhaps.
And yeah, that lens flare really isn't doing the pic any favours

I guess you mean this:Sendy wrote:Ahh, look what it says along the top of the keyboard in that pic. Looks like you can modulate lots of things rather than just frequency perhaps.
Neo FM Synthesis / FM / PM / Waveshape / Wavetable / Formant / Phase Distortion
This is written above the keyboard here:

Those should indeed give a few ideas about the synth.
Did you have a look at the waveform displays, especially that at the upper right?
In default mode that display looks the same as the second display.
Could give another idea, not to forget some of the knobs in the middle part...

Although I have been accused of being an Tones2 basher, I really am not.
I own license to all their synths (well except Firebird which doesn't even need a license anymore), and especially Bastiaan and I have a great relationship.
But isn't that GUI look a bit worn out by now?

Those lens flares make it sound much cleaner and brighter...

Why do you expect that the GUI of the real plugin looks identical to a 3D rendering like in that preview picture? The real GUI is perfectly readable IMO.HiEnergy wrote:Those lens flares make it sound much cleaner and brighter...
Funny that Sendy was the only one to start discussing what could be actually seen at picture in terms of features instead of discussing about lens flares in a 3D rendering.

Are there any sound examples online?

for the record I wasn't even speaking about the lens flares. its the knobs, the layout the sameness of it all.zvenx wrote:Although I have been accused of being an Tones2 basher, I really am not.

Not yet. And even if i would have some i would not be allowed to post it at the moment.Sendy wrote:Are there any sound examples online?
IMO at that picture a lot of things could be already noticed if you look closely. I already gave a few hints.

I think I've gleaned everything I can from the pictureIngonator wrote:Not yet. And even if i would have some i would not be allowed to post it at the moment.Sendy wrote:Are there any sound examples online?

As already mentioned the factory library will be really huge (much more than e.g. in Rayblaster) and from what i have tested so far there are lots of great patches IMO as some other beta testers already mentioned too here.

Not that I suspect this will sound bad. As a company tone2 has a sound that's very well suited to experimental FM. My interest is piqued

Well, Ingo, you have to admit that some GUIs really do suffer from that cheesy "glow" effect (like ElectraX). I spend hours looking at softsynth UIs, and, while they don't all have to be mesmerizing beauties, they at least shouldn't cause eye fatigue.
But anyways, thanks for posting that screenshot! I really am intrigued now... I wonder if this is going to be a Tone2 synth that'll really push modern CPUs to their limits. Since I have the hardware for it, I would readily welcome the increase in audio quality.
Is there an approximate ETA at least? In time for Halloween, or rather Christmas?

Somewhere between Halloween and Christmas i guess...ariston wrote: Is there an approximate ETA at least? In time for Halloween, or rather Christmas?
Did not notice such problem with the Nemesis GUI.ariston wrote:Well, Ingo, you have to admit that some GUIs really do suffer from that cheesy "glow" effect (like ElectraX). As already mentioned that 3D rendering does not fully reflect how the "real" GUI looks like.
