The first synth that comes in has a little unpleasantness about it. Needs some creative eq.



I quite enjoyed this myself. I guess it is good to create low expectations for your listener then make it pretty good.

I liked the general frame you created, but it doesn't feel like your track goes anywhere yet, the trick is to take out again some of the instruments before you come to a "hit" / "crash" & co. so you get a feel of progression.

Also that Saw-like-Lead you got there sounds terribly cheap, I guess that's what you adressed by calling it lightbulb? Maybe look for some sample-based sounds that are based on a real circuit, I remember Atmosphere (and I guess Omnisphere too then) had those for example.
