If it's gonna be that good then let's wait a little more. Who wants to be bothered downloading a new beta every day?

You bring up a good point. I guess I'll be satisfied with version 1.2 for now.Nahkranoth wrote:If it's gonna be that good then let's wait a little more. Who wants to be bothered downloading a new beta every day?

Sorry about the long wait for release! I want to get it as smooth-running as possible before release this time 'cause I need to switch my OS to 64bit - because I'm going to make some 64bit SEMS for the SE community, and help Jeff(SE creator) with more detailed bug-reporting, because I can use a dedicated c++ debugger to help with it - so SE64bit plugs will be available - sooner than later. HYDi will still be supported though (bugwise) - but no 64bit version is on the cards.mridlen wrote:How is the development coming along?
The final beta is in testing - but I don't forsee any more bugs, fixed about 17x bugs the past month. CPU isn't as good as I want it to be -> 4%-6% on my i5, might try to shave off a couple more cycles here & there. Currently writing the manual and arranging the Default bank into a more sensable order.
Cheers
Andrew

Here is a new pad I programmed this morning. "One Finga Style" of course because it's monophonic. But I bet that you already knew that...
You can hear the new ZDF 12db LP filter (fully open
) with some nice Resonance on top of it. I hope you like it.

Maybe it's the limiter (LNO6) I used to make it a bit louder. I had some artifacts while I searched for optimal settings so maybe it's because of that. But I really tried not to have more than 1db GR.Mutant wrote:While i like the sound, i can hear some clicking in the soundclip.
Some mp3 conversion troubles ?
But I will check the plain Patch later again for that. Thx.
Edit: could be that I have some slightly wrong attack/release parameters in HYDi's inbuilt compressor. I put one after the filter because some of the three oscillators are modulated in the amplitude. Maybe one of them triggers the comp and produces some slight distortion...will check that out too.
And thx for the comments. Appreciate them.

I experimented a lot with the DYNAMIC parameter section(s) and lfo crossmodulation today. Wicked stuff.
Eg the dynamic thingy: you can find the DYNAMIC button in a plenty of places. The most obvious usage would be ducking. But the cool things is that you don't have a pre-defined ducking source. And what I like about those sources is that most of them are in use already and you can easily assign the DCA env or DCF env to it with only one click (one click more to invert it
). It is often a good idea to assign some envelopes more than once because it is a) easier to control (one env to rule them all) and b)sounds often very tight especially if there is lot of modulation already going on elsewhere. Like a global parameter (not per voice) which gives them a little bit more shape.
Ok, so you decided that your wanna have a ducking delay sound. That's pretty easy to set up. Simply enable DYNAMIC and choose DCA and enable INV. And there is another parameter where you can mix both of them so if you need only a little bit of ducking (something like that) because you need a little bit of bleed simply adjust it to taste.
Anyways, that are the more obvious things. But you can do so much more. Assign it to another independent enveolpe. Now you have complete control over the whole FX. Via that env you now can adjust if it should fade in/open more slowly (raise attack) or for a specific amount of time like for only 1 second...endless possibilities.
Dang, I can't wait for release and listen to some user patches and how they will assign all those little parameters. Hopefully you guys are ready for some really in-depth modulation experience and are willing to share it with us.

Hey guys,
one of my favourite FX in this synth is the "DUAL SHIFTER". Basically it's a pitchshifter that can be delayed and panned.
Not quite sure why it took me so long ( *facepalm* ) to realize that this unit can be used a a HAAS fx but today I discovered that usage for it.
Just set the fx to completely wet (mix knob fully right), now hardpan both pan knobs to R & L, delay one of them, adjust gain and perhaps add some additional pitchshift (nice if summed to mono later again, reduces phase issues).
Might not work in V1.2 in fx slot DCE1 because iirc one of the pan knobs was not working properly. Fixed in new version. But I think the DCE2 slot worked.
Woot! That sounds pretty huge now. Mono synth...lol
Normally I use this to make things really fat. If not used on 100% wet think of it like "now you have two additional copies of your sound that can be pitchshifted (aka detuned) and mixed with the original sound".
And you have two of them that can be run eiter parallel or serial.

It's not in V1.2 - it's new to V1.3, it replaces Resonator3 in DCE1&2. And Resonator3 was moved to the MEFX section.Halma wrote:Hey guys,

Might not work in V1.2...
Inanyway - at your current rate you'll have 2x full patch banks in no time
Also - thanks for letting me 'steal' some of your patches for the Default Bank, think it is quite nice and balanced now.
