Which reminds me - will BitWig have an authentic accordion sample on release? For those of us getting into DubPolka could be handy.

Damn good point. I wonder if they will have a forum. And a sub forum for accordions and catsmandolarian wrote:Smokin'!!!

1. Old Ensoniq VFX and some of their other boards have Poly AT, but not GM. (I still have my Ensoniq VFX SD)
2. There are two different crowdsource projects going on right now that take entirely different views of PolyAT. One of them is a surface you lay down on top of existing keys for an x-y touchpad on each key surface, the other uses swing velocity of the keys as a source for polyAT.
Stay tuned for links......
Ah yes, there it is - this article addresses both:

Ableton Push supports it in the hardware, but Ableton has no incentive to use it cause Live itself does not record PolyAT... so more new controllers are supporting PolyAT due to the different approaches to controllers that are becoming available.

Does this mean that you cannot control the volumes of the each note with pressure on the pad? Or do they accomplish that differently?pdxindy wrote:Ableton Push supports it in the hardware, but Ableton has no incentive to use it cause Live itself does not record PolyAT... so more new controllers are supporting PolyAT due to the different approaches to controllers that are becoming available.

Push is currently Channel AT... if you press a note after it is played and being held, all playing notes are affected. Just like most midi controllers that have AT.Ogopogo wrote:Does this mean that you cannot control the volumes of the each note with pressure on the pad? Wow that seems like a big oversight. Maybe if bitwig gets Push support they can upstage them. I hope so, cause I might get a push and I would want that.pdxindy wrote:Push is currently Channel AT... if you press a note after it is played and being held, all playing notes are affected. Multiple MIDI channels - I've looked around Bitwig in all the obvious places and could not find anywhere to set the MIDI channel for the current track or device. I will try again, but at this point it looks similar to Live.
Saying that, selecting my MIDI device in preferences did not offer any additional options like Live does so perhaps this area still needs some work.
Peace,
Andy.
